About this listen

Would you like to create habits that will permanently stick and finally make the changes you want in life?

Imagine if you could build powerful habits that you'll consistently stick to for the rest of your life. What if you could finally break the shackles of procrastination and stay on track with your most important habits day after day? How much more do you think you could achieve in the next five years? Twenty years?

Few people realize this, but the difference between success and failure is often just a few habits repeated over a long period of time. Successful people stick to their habits every day. Unsuccessful people stick to their habits when the mood strikes or simply give up.

By reading this far, you've already showed your commitment to creating a better life. You're now just one step away from building new, empowering habits that will transform your life. Now, you might be thinking, Okay, but there are a myriad of books about habits out there. What makes this one so special? And that's a great question.

This book contains the most effective methods. I'll teach you simple yet effective techniques that will enable you to form habits that you'll actually stick to. No fluff, and no short-term tricks, tips, or hacks that don't work in the long run. This book covers all you need to know about habits, such as getting rid of bad ones, creating triggers for good ones, designing a supportive environment, and overcoming procrastination. And it's all presented in a well-structured, straightforward manner.

Habits That Stick

Any additional comments?

Even though this book is short, it is a very helpful book that offers ways to change bad habits into good habits. I really enjoy the extras that the author provided, such as free worksheets and a free e-book. The narrator did a great job.

Habits That Stick is a Worthwhile Listen

Habits That Stick was a great audiobook offering many ways in which to change old or bad habits and stop procrastinating. There were numerous positive suggestions to trick your brain into changing old to new and better, healthier habits. Examples are things such as dieting, running or exercising, even smoking. This is also about small goal setting. I think it was important to remember NOT to skip the new habits if at all possible. Preparing in advance and using your willpower are key.

This audiobook, written by Thibaut Meurisse is a gem. I say if you try these tricks, you can always (and I will) go back and relisten to this book to reinforce the positive motivation. This applies to anything; work, play, diet, etc. Definitely motivational and recommended listening.

Meral Mathews did a wonderful job narrating this book. He has a nice, easy to listen to voice. He spoke very clearly and was consistent. He made this a nice listen.

Improve Yourself?

I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review.

"Your brain is lazy and doesn't like change, but it does like efficiency.'
This self help book was pretty good, giving many tips on how to break bad habit and form new habits. I've marked down some notes as I am trying to form one habit and break another, thought the book does say that you should only try to do one habit at a time.

Really enjoyable and helpful audiobook

A good length, there are downloadable worksheets (links given in the audiobook), and some things to consider I didn't know before. Why breaking a habit twice makes it easier to keep breaking it. Also why consistency is better than intensity. And blowing that 21 days to learn a habit "rule" out of the water.

I got a lot out of this and picked up some ideas for goal setting as well. For those who want an accountability partner, the author lists his email where you can let him know what habits you're working on.

He's very clear that this book is for breaking bad habits, not addictions, as well as giving detailed advice for adding good habits by means of routines and goal setting.

I'll be listening again, but wanted to encourage anyone on the fence about getting this audiobook to go ahead. I find it useful and it's an easy, pleasant listen. The narrator made it easy to get lost in the book.

Very practical & helpful!

I listen to a lot of self help books for professional development. Because this is a topic of need in my life, I am also listening to Brian Tracey's book on self- discipline. I quickly became frustrated with that expert's advice because he simply told me many reasons why I needed to become self disciplined and then I was supposed to just go do it! In this book "habits that stick", the author gives you practical things to do and not to do, what to do when you get off track, and how to capitalize on how the brain works. This was extremely helpful, has an accompanying workbook, and was pleasant to listen to, and I'm excited about putting the steps to work immediately!

Awesome

Practical and straight to the point. It's worth the credit. A quarter through the book and I had already started developing new habits that work.

Thank you Thibaut
