Publisher's summary
Venture into the tiny worlds of terrariums and discover how to create a universe of your own.
Like an artist, you’ll learn how to use planting and hardscaping to make stunning terrarium compositions. Plus, master the fundamentals of successful growing – soil, water, and light – so your plants thrive.
Put theory into practice with step-by-step projects of 13 terrariums:
- Repurpose a spice jar to create a stunning yet small terrarium on a budget
- Replicate natural environments in your home with planting and hardscaping choices, such as the fallen branch terrarium
- Express yourself by including playful figurines to create fun imaginary worlds
- Try a bioactive terrarium, adding custodians to thrive in these mini ecosystems
With a combination of projects and deep dives into plant groups and care advice, you’ll be well on your way to curating your own terrarium wonderland with Hello Tiny World.
Written and read by Ben Newell. Ben has an audience of over 2 million plant enthusiasts across the world who delight in his curiosity and care for nature as he shares his terrariums on social media. In 2022, Ben received a RHS Chelsea Gold Medal in recognition of his work and was shortlisted for Garden Media Guild Social Media Influencer of the Year. He has been featured in publications such as The Spruce, Buzzfeed, and LadBible, and made appearances at BBC Hereford & Worcester Bloomsbury Festival and on Michael Perry's Plant Based Podcast.

More recently, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, sourdough bread baking became a global phenomenon as people contended with being confined to their homes and sought distractions from their fear, uncertainty, and grief. In Sourdough Culture, environmental science professor Eric Pallant shows how throughout history, sourdough bread baking has always been about survival.

Incredibly Devoted Look Into Terrarium Life
This book was not only read wonderfully, but it demonstrated so much detail and helpful information when it comes to what exactly to do when making a terrarium. The levels of love that come from the creator towards the subject are not only strong, but even tangible. Everything is very well executed. :)
