Henry teaches about inclusion!

This is such a cute story that teaches children to be thankful for what they have and to be inclusive in their way of thinking. As an inclusion teacher, I strongly advocate for inclusiveness, especially in children’s literature. Henry learns to not judge a book by its cover when he meets a new friend at the zoo. To truly be inclusive, we must teach children how to include anyone who may appear to be “different.” Henry shows that he can be inclusive by bringing home his unlikely friend for his family to adopt. Such a cute story!
