Two days before Thanksgiving in 1958, Susan Lockwood drives to Ashville, North Carolina, for a job interview scheduled for the next day. Settled into her hotel, she awakens the next morning to an overnight snowfall. Finally arriving at her interview appointment, she meets David Maxwell, who fulfills her dreams and makes her smile.
David is the president of his company and Ashville’s most desirable bachelor. But, when he interviews Susan, he realizes she is what is lacking in his life. So, in this sweet Southern love story, he seeks a reason for her to remain in Ashville for the holiday weekend.
Record snowfall and power outages strand Susan at David’s building. She must stay overnight at his mother’s home and concludes David is a mama’s boy. Not knowing his attraction to her, can Susan overcome David’s supposed dependence on his mother and accept his ideal job offer and love?
