Publisher's summary

What if you never had to fear death and understood the meaning and purpose of life? What if illness and time could not hurt or age you? What if death would not destroy you?

Over this lifetime, and with all the ones that came before, I finally reawakened and transformed myself to a God-realized human being. What does that even mean? I will share my secret, which is not really secret at all.

My soul's evolution to oneness has brought me to this planet, to this level of consciousness to tell my story born of love, filled with light and knowing only truth. My story is a parable for what is possible in a human existence that is born to end.

Surprising, Engaging, and Best- Inspiring

I’ve read Dr. Scheiner’s other works, and loved them, but this book is a breed apart. He shares the fascinating experiences of a privileged life with a sincerely and humility that seems nearly unaware of their rarity. Once the reader is immersed in each chapter, the author manages to point to a parable-like lesson he’s found in each which illustrates over and again the universality of our experiences once we look beyond the circumstances which dress them.
The pulsing message throughout is a sense of unity and safety. We are all one, and where we find ourselves is where we are meant to be.
In that security, he seems to direct us to seek the light and love in ourselves, and finding it, let it direct our lives.
Amazing and inspiring.

A rich life beautifully conveyed

The warm tones of the author's voice are a perfect match to the episodes of life and transcendence lovingly narrated in this tightly crafted memoir. From tales of his ancestors in Russia, to the trials and tribulations of childhood, through the many relationships, careers, and spiritual awakenings of his seven decades on this planet, Dr. Scheiner weaves a through-line of humor and self-actualization. Delightful as much for the spiritual guidance as for the peek into a life lived large in New York City and around the globe. Will definitely listen again.

A spiritual memoir of a unique life

The author takes you on an unvarnished journey through the history of his ife. Besides being a successful physician, he has been a restauranteur, a playwright, a pianist/composer, and a pioneer in the successful control of HIV/AIDS. He gives you a picture the highs and lows of gay nightlife and culture in New York from the 1970s to the present...with stunning highs and tragic lows. Woven through his history is the importance of caring, love, and acceptance. His narration of his own story is very engaging. You will not be bored!
