Phone interviews are really phone "screens". Employers use them to weed out candidates and come up with a short list of people to interview face-to-face. If you don't get invited to interview, you got screened out of the job. This book will keep you from getting screened out and consistently put you on the short list of candidates who get to interview in person.

Story
Questioning thousands of parents and educators, Dr. Wayne Dyer learned firsthand what people really want for their children. They don't particularly want their kids to go to fancy schools, acquire riches, or live "the good life". They do want them to have personal integrity and high self-esteem, and to grow up with love and peace in their hearts. Children raised the Wayne Dyer way feel useful and needed. They are inner- rather than outer-directed. They live a stress-free life naturally, without resorting to drugs.

Conventional interviewing advice doesn’t work. That’s what Anna Papalia learned through years of experience as an HR professional, consultant for Fortune 500 companies, and teacher at the Fox School of Business. None of the existing tools work for one simple reason: they don’t get to the heart of what actually makes a great interview—self-awareness. At its core, an interview is a set of questions about you. If you don’t know yourself, you won’t do well.

Great Collection of Interview Questions
I feel I really benefited from this audio book. I ended up typing up the questions that were relevant to me while I listened, and then wrote out my answers later. The narrator was really good. The only thing that would have made this book better was if it had been offered in print as a workbook, with the questions already written out, and blanks to write my answers.

30-60-90 Day Plan was a Home Run Hit
The 30-60-90 day plan was a home run hit at the interview. I received a job offer 2 weeks after the interview with the comment that my 30-60-90 day plan was the point that sold them...over other candidates with more education and experience. Early in the interview I was able to point out that the questions the three interviewers were asking were answered in my 30-60-90 day plan. The remainder of the one-hour interview changed from my answering their questions to explaining my plan. The audio book also prepared me for the standard tough questions.

A must read if you haven't interviewed in a while
Excellent narration and good questions and answers. The only thing I did not like was hearing the same or similar questions like salary negotiations or hearing about the 30 60 90 plan over and over. It would be good to have questions that more senior individuals would get. More about leadership etc. Otherwise good audio book.

"Read before taking any interview."
Would you listen to How to Answer Interview Questions again? Why?
I listen to this on audible over and over again to educate myself. You only have one shot at that interview and you better be ready for every question they ask you. If you answer one wrong you will not get the job.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Peggy Mckee has so much experience in this field because she has been there doing the hiring for years.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The entire book is filled with educational tips and tricks that help you get one of the most important things in your life. That is a career and income to provide for your family.

thank you Peggy
I'm going to copy and paste my review from interview questions 101 part 2 because it's basically the same. please don't think I'm a robot I'm a real person.
I really appreciate the interview questions 101 series as well as how to Ace your phone interview and how to network.in fact, these are literally the only interview books that I read. I don't really like to purchase the 8-minute books that she sells. but these three books as well as the networking book are at least 50 minutes to 4 hours. Scott Miller has a great voice and I actually laughed out loud several times. I received quite a few phone interviews, and all of them followed up with in-person interviews and I received several offers after listening to her books. as another person said, it turns out I actually do have the answers they are looking for and it makes me feel confident and competent. thank you Peggy. I start my new position with a Fortune 500 company later this month.
