There are many mind-boggling and complicated ways of writing a book at our disposal. This is not one of those. In fact, this book is perfect for someone who wants a simple, flexible, and streamlined approach to start, write, and complete a book fast. This is not a get rich quick book, nor is it a book that guarantees your success. That is up to you. I can't write your book for you.

This book is for those of us who want to write regardless of what others say about our ability to write. It is for those of us who want a step-by-step guide to the process and strategies to finishing a book. The book is specially formulated to be a tool to support your success. If you want to avoid mistakes and prevent costly pitfalls, whether those pitfalls be measured in time and/or money wasted, then this book is for you. This book is all about achieving real and practical writing results.

You will only become a writer/author through the act of writing. This is your golden opportunity to stop talking about writing a book and actually do it. Only when your book is finished will you truly understand the authority and respect authorship demands and how the title of "author" can open up new channels of achievement and profit. You might find this book to be somewhat unconventional. There may be established writers who disagree with my writing style.

That is to be expected since I do not come from the traditional writing world. You will soon learn my story and though I was an overall good student, I was a terrible English student. I know this might sound cliché, but if I can become an established writer, anyone can! More than most people, I understand your concerns, anxieties and questions when it comes to writing. I've been where you are and know how to overcome the roadblocks you undoubtedly will encounter.

That's why I wrote this book. To help guide you towards the finish line so that you can proudly hold your own book in your hands.

Here is what you can expect to learn while reading this book:

Encouragement

If you want to write a book of any kind this is a great book to guide you.

There is no fluff and filler here only great teaching and direction. It is a short listen which is good because you can listen over and over and make notes or simply commit the process of writing a book to memory.

This book is more about the process of writing and how to get your book written instead of just dreaming about doing it.

Surprisingly Useful

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I've gone back and listened to it again, as well.

Any additional comments?

I am a professional writer of nonfiction, and have been thinking about writing a book, so this book was part of my research. I have to admit that I had a bit of an arrogant attitude going in... I wasn't convinced that the author could tell me something that I didn't already know. Turns out, he could. There is a lot of very basic information that I think beginning writers would benefit from. But I found that his advice on organizing and planning a book -- such as writing a core outline first, so that you have a definite handle on what your book is about and how you're going to write it -- rang true with me. In criticism, I would say that the author repeats himself occasionally throughout the book. But, then, maybe a beginning writer would benefit from the repetition. Finally, I liked the way he encouraged non-writers to try their hand at the craft, with helpful tips on how to get started. The author definitely has a positive attitude!

Narration is also excellent!

The Hands-down Best Guide for Aspiring Authors

What did you love best about How to Write a Book ASAP?

This book takes you through the process from start to finish, with excellent direction and practical advice. It filled in so many gaps that I missed when I self-published my first book. When writing a book, in my opinion, there comes a time when the book seems to take on its own life. How to Write a Book ASAP will help you recognize, deal with and appreciate that feeling when your book reaches that critical stage. It is an incredible part of the process.

What other book might you compare How to Write a Book ASAP to and why?

I have not seen another source that is this inclusive to comapre it to. This audiobook stands alone with straight to the point step by step processes that takes so much of the stress out of planning and executing writing a book.

What does Tom Underwood bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He is able to keep your attention with intonations and well spoken english. I drive a great deal, so the audio version was my best option.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I have found this book extremely inspiring to get moving. What I really like is the planning processes that it spells out. This has helped me organize and layout my project with clearer focus, providing much more opportunity for creativity and less operational mind clutter.

Any additional comments?

I will recommend this book/audio recording to anyone endeavoring to write a book that I speak with. This will be the best (and hopefully first) investment you will make in not only your book, but in yourself.
