Love the Fantasy Football series!

What did you love best about Huddle Up?

I love the tongue in cheek way the author has with describing the characters' thoughts, especially Billy when he meets Angel again in her late father's old bar/poolhall. Having a big brawny football guy be more concerned with the wiles of his old flame than the burly bartender/family friend was quite amusing.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Angel - I loved her toughness and her love for her daughter. Being a single mom raising her child alone for 5 years plus dealing with an alcoholic father was so hard for her, but she never forgot Billy and still was in love with him, despite all the misunderstandings.

What about Christine Padovan’s performance did you like?

Her acting ability in bringing the individual characters to life. She continues to improve with her narration style which is a big plus because I love the writing of Liz Matis so much, I'd hate to not buy these audiobooks if the narrating was not enjoyable to listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, but more anger that these two missed out on being a family together for the first 5 years of their child's life, but if I say why, that will spoil the surprise twist in the story.

Any additional comments?

Hope the author continues the series - very fun shorts with great characters mixed with the right amount of conflict and hot sex :-)

Worst narrator ever!

I usually don’t mind bad narrators. I can get through anything if it’s a good story but I just couldn’t take this anymore! She has a weird way of talking at the end of each sentence she stretches out the words- it becomes so distracting after a while. I got 3/4th of the way through and abandoned it.

Horrible narration, just awful

Narration ruined this story. I have read this book and enjoyed it. Looked forward to listening to it but the narration was so bad I couldn’t even finish the first chapter. Each sentence ends with a moaning downwards whine. Just Awful.

good story, robotic narration

The narrator was a bit too robotic for me, otherwise the story was really good.

Narrator is sooo bad!

Couldn’t get past the first chapter because the narrator is so monotone and she kept drawing out the last word of each sentence. I think this story would be really good if I could stand to listen to this particular narrator.

Thank goodness this book was part of my romance package, and I didn’t really waste an actual credit on it.

The perfect summertime romance!

The author continues to create a wonderful thread between the characters in her first two stories in the series, and with the new characters she introduces here - plus cleverly sets up the ending for another story to follow!

The writing keeps getting better - there is always background and plot with conflict and great humor thrown in, not just gratuitous sex. The narrator is smooth and always a pleasure to listen to.

Another winning 'season' in 'Huddle Up'!

Terrible Narrator

Terrible narration, but I liked the story overall. I wish that the narrator wasn’t so flat and boring.

Horrible Narration

I could not get past the narrator. Listen to a sample before you buy. Not worth a credit. I had to return without finishing. The narration is very distracting and takes away by from the story. The end of every sentence has a weird strange emphasis.

Third Book

I constantly look for new writers. I like to get various titles a chance. This is the third book U have read of your. I almost gave up on the first book within 2 minutes. The plot of your books seem to be short and sweet. It is a nice read for days I want some to the point. The reader of all three books that I have listen to so far is not preferable. I think your books would be more exciting if there was a different performer. Good luck with your future books.
