Publisher's summary

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Long but worth it
Enjoyed the story. It painted an intriguing and intricate portrait of one family’s rise and fall in pre-WWII Poland. The Jewish story in Poland of that time period is the focal point but the book obviously provides much narrative history in general. Moni Ovadia is a very good narrator except when he is doing dialogue, especially women’s voices. This is too bad because he is wonderful when not screeching away. I stuck with it and after awhile there is less dialogue in the narrative. I listened to the Italian version and it was worth it. Very worth it.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
