Story
When souls are tied, it's never goodbye. A boy I was that summer evening I met you, pulling your belongings out of the truck and into your new home. I knew it was love then. A whole man I was the day that you met me at the altar and agreed to love me until death do us part. A shell of a man I've become since it did, unable to move on, move forward, or progress in any way until I discovered that not even death was permanent enough to keep us apart. A better man I'm destined to be, knowing that, at some capacity, you're still with me. Our love is one that never dies.

Story
Zahi was young and living life to the fullest. Then, he was thrust into fatherhood and forced to change his outlook on life, love, and happiness. The self-proclaimed bachelor did not expect to be swept up in emotions he'd never felt. However, caring for his daughter, Zuri, charged a part of his heart that he thought was dead. The spark awakened a need for more out of life. From the moment he laid eyes on India, he was drawn to her. The pull was so intense, and no matter how many times he told himself to stay away from her, he just couldn't follow his own command.

Elias Omari exists in the darkness that clouds his mind. Cress Devereaux exists in the light that inspires her soul. Together, they create beautiful shades of gray. An arranged marriage forces two families to smooth the edges of their jagged past with the hopes of a new beginning. I always knew marriage for me would never be to a man of my choosing. As a young girl, I was all too aware of the power I wielded in a world where men were supposed to be the superior gender. To the underworld, I was just a mafia princess. To my family, I was an equal. To my soon-to-be husband? Well, that was yet to be determined. But I prayed Enzo Bianchi was ready for me because I was damn sure prepared for him.

The job offer she expected after taking an unpaid internship at a major shoe company didn’t come through. The friend who’d offered her a place to stay suddenly gave her 48 hours to vacate after a misunderstanding. IGNITEd
In the hands of the masterful Joan Vassar, "IGNITE" is a time-traveling journey to a land steeped in history, where details of Georgia's landscape and culture is brought to life. With a deft touch, Vassar weaves a tale that is both poignant and suspenseful, drawing the reader into a world of danger, passion, and revenge with this profound, prolific and powerful story that had me captivated from beginning to end.
Truck's determination and desperation to navigate the Jim Crow south to save his family’s land and his unwavering love for Josie, despite her troubles, is a compelling testament to the power of love in the face of adversity. Josie's own struggles are equally engaging, as she learns to trust in herself and in the love of another. While Corn is working through his own self discovery. Life is challenging enough trying to survive and the odds are not in their favor until the odds favor them and they take matters into their own hands.
This emotional and heartfelt story is seductive, suspenseful, and engaging. The plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat. The emotions that run through the story are palpable, and the angst of the characters is both heartbreaking and warming. These characters' journeys had me invested in their story that gets more intense, dangerous and deadly as you read.
The narration by JD Jackson was an enthralling experience. He delivered the true essence of each character bringing them to life with an unparalleled talent. He embodies the crux of each character's unique spirit breathing life into every word spoken and truly becomes the voice of each persona.
"IGNITE" is a mesmerizing work of fiction.

Only As Joan Can!
Joan's pen is outstanding! She leaves a lot to the imagination, but delivers it delicately. This is definitely her signature. Not a character written that doesn't evoke some type of emotion from the reader. Trust me, I'm still PO bout a chic from the Black series! lol But that is indeed the beauty of Joan Vassar. She has you captured from the beginning to the end.
