Publisher's summary

She’s a fashion model who has everything: a boyfriend, a career, a loyal best friend. But when a sudden freeway "accident" leaves her disfigured and incapable of speech, she goes from being the beautiful center of attention to being an invisible monster, so hideous that no one will acknowledge she exists. Enter Brandy Alexander, Queen Supreme, one operation away from becoming a real woman, who will teach her that reinventing yourself means erasing your past and making up something better. And that salvation hides in the last places you’ll ever want to look.

Fantastic

One of my favorite Chuck Palahniuk books. I love him as an author and this is a fantastic story. Hard to follow at times but worth it.

Forever & Ever one of my favorite Books

A drug-fueled, scene & costume & sex changing, revenge seeking Insane Fever Dream of the highest order. One of Palahniuk’s best.

Everyone should read this

This is a wild ride from start to finish. Chuck has an amazing way of making unlikable characters completely lovable. This was so unique and imaginative, written in a way that you couldn’t help but live in each character’s shoes and take a peek in their brain, which is raw and ugly but so relatable in every way. This story showed me the darker parts of my own soul, and I absolutely loved it. Thank you, Chuck Palahniuk.

Sorry Mom, Sorry God

From Palahniuk’s twisted mind. Audio book works great with the first person narration of the story and the performance is top notch.

Decided to pick it up after Palahniuk’s writing advice book “Consider This.”

The entire book is an exercise in the insanity of self destruction.

Wild ride

It takes a chapter or two to finally grasp the rhythm but once you find it the jumps and “cut to”’s become a brilliant way to push the story along. Like talking to an old friend you haven’t seen in a while. With revelations and hardships throughout. And what a perfect ending

Well, that’s unfortunate. Great book, though.

Martha Plimpton was born to read Chuck. “Diary”was great. This narrator/ narration is…(fill in the dot dot dot)
Invisible Monsters is a “re-read”for me, 20 years later. “sorry mom, sorry god” pops up in my own work and brain, a lot. Common enough not to be recognizable but, I know why/where. That’s what counts.
Unless your eyes are shit , like mine are, now; go bareback/paperback.
Sorry Earth, sorry Amazon.

Not everyone’s taste but intriguing all the same

One must irreversibly destroy the concept, and sometimes the physical form, of self to be truly free.
