Good read but not for the faint of heart!
Great story. Excellent writer. To make anyone feel for this character is proof of another level of skill as a writer. Bravo. Great book. Roller coaster of emotions. And I am getting part two immediately.

Cool Story - Bad Reading Performance.
The story is interesting and the writing is great but I'm sorry, Auri's performance is difficult to enjoy when she's acting the male voice. She tried to make the voice low and serious, but for most of the book, it comes out as a whisper forcing the reader/listener to constantly adjust the volume to year what she's saying and then quickly turning it back down when she does the woman's voice as the woman's voice is a normal volume.
The drastic volume changes may not be the performer's fault but the audio engineer's. Either way, someone should have reviewed the performance/production before this was released.

This story needed up being a good one but the beginning was very slow. I loved the that female protagonist was strong willed and not a whiny blubbering sissy.

... I say go in blind on this one. DO NOT LISTEN OR READ any reviews because... they absolutely do this book injustice. ahh! for a dark, super spicy, fantasy romance... this one has a very unique plot that just sings to my soul!

Dark, sexy, and a great story
If you’re not into dark stories/romances, please don’t be a Karen/SJW and read this book. Please read the reviews and if it’s not your cup ‘o tea, move on to the light/vapid romance novels.
For the rest of you (naughty souls), take a chance and read it. It’s normally not a book I would gravitate towards, BUT I enjoyed it and will read similar books in the future.

Great dark fantasy romance
Awesome story, great narration by both Auri Alden and Gregory Salinas. I own the ebooks of this duology and now love listening to the audiobooks!
This duology is very heavy with triggers so make sure you check the trigger warnings before listening to this book.

Took three tries but I dig it!
I just couldn’t get into this book. But now, several months and multiple tries later, I’m loving it! It’s totally original, well written with a detailed world. The characters aren't the cookie-cutter norm (sassy strong but submissive girl, dominating asshole who's actually wounded nice guy) they have real depth and show growth as the story progresses. Lots of pretty decent sex scenes, but written we'll enough to not just be smutty book porn.
Narration was fine. Had a few spots when the woman does Males voice that were awkward. Nothing you can t move past. You for sure going to want headphones with this one! The dirty scenes can happen fast and they get detailed quickly! You have been warned!
Absolutely worth a credit! I am SOOO glad I gave this another chance. Def getting the next book and following the author.
