Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Nothing extraordinary here
I received a free Audible audiobook in exchange for my honest review.
STORY: 3 stars
PERFORMANCE: 3 stars
OVERALL: 3 stars
STORY:
When I saw how hard this book was rated, I was expecting something special but there is nothing special about this book at all. This is a boilerplate romance about a man and a woman who meet, one of them tries to fight off their insta-love and they eventually succumb to their mutual attraction. That's it! There was nothing creative about the characters, their storylines or their sex scenes; there was absolutely nothing unusual or extraordinary about this book whatsoever! For me, listening to this audiobook was a waste of my time.
PERFORMANCE:
Like the story she narrated, I didn't find Ms. Peters performance to be anything extraordinary. She did make an obvious effort to alter her tone and volume so that she didn't simply read a script yet at times I felt she was a tad overzealous. I also questioned whether Ms. Peters was the best narrator for this particular book. Having a voice that sounds like that of a more mature woman, I struggled to connect Ms. Peter's voice with the youthful, female main character.

A steamy hot duet...
This is a set of two love stories where the sex is super hot and steamy. I love the way this author, Abbie St Claire writes her stories. Though I would love it more of the stories were longer. The author has great plots and original too. The narrator, Pamela Peters delivers a flawless reading to us complete with many voices and accents. well done.
I was gifted this audio book so I could give a honest review of it.

Fun Fun Fun
--I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
This duet of books was a mixture of chick lit and hot sex...Total fun!! The first book in the duet was "Kiss Me - There" where we meet Quinn, a up and coming heart surgeon and her soulmate Roman. The two meet when Quinn comes down with pneumonia from studying and working too hard, and Roman is her doctor in the hospital. You cannot help but fall for the doctor, he is good looking, attentive, passionate and all around wonderful...Quinn thinks so too until she does a little digging on the internet about him. She runs away, and joins a practice. Several years later, she literally bumps into Roman, and well I won't tell you how it ends, but it is hot!
The second book, "Kiss Me - My Ass" brings us Paige and Logan. Paige figures out the man she works for is changing reports and suspects foul play. She reports it to none other than her boss Logan(who she met the previous day and all I can say is yum!). Logan then works to secure enough evidence against this man to remove him from his company, but Paige has to continue working for him until the case is secure. The two of them fall in love, but can Paige work for him and be his girlfriend?
Pamela Peters is the perfect narrator for this style of books, reminding me a lot of CJ Critt in style. She brings warmth to the characters and distinguishes the voices so you can listen and know completely who is talking. Loved her performance.
