Publisher's summary

Only a bad nanny knows what it’s like to kiss the boss.

CEO millionaire Max Fletcher is a single dad in desperate need of a nanny. Cozy Barlow is in the middle of her self-appointed “gap year” and doing everything she can to detach from her past. But when her sister begs her to interview for the nanny position of a high-maintenance client, she doesn’t have a good enough reason to say no. And when Max locks eyes on the 20-something in a tie-dye sweat suit who pitches the idea of daydreaming all summer—he prepares to give this bad nanny the boot.

One problem: Max’s little girl thinks this plus-sized in body and spirit nanny might be her new bestie, so she hires her on the spot.

Now Max is stuck with this bizarre woman who hates everything he represents—corporate greed, money, status, power. But one stormy night when the power goes out, he discovers Cozy doesn’t hate him. In fact, he’s the leading role in her fantasies.

Fantasies he would very much like to make a reality.

One of Amy’s best!

I'm a sucker for a grumpy/sunshine story and Max is grumpy, zaddy perfection. "Last on the List" is a spicy, funny, and heartfelt romance that pulled me in from the first chapter. I laughed, I cried, swooned, and I couldn't get enough of Max and Cozy.

I could not stop listening to this story. It's classic Amy Daws magic and I loved every word. Max is perfectly grumpy and has the most delicious dirty side that had me turning up the A/C. I felt every word he said to Cozy, and I could not get enough of him. And Cozy? She was so relatable to me on a personal level, I could see myself in her. Everly was so sweet and I would love to have a daughter like her one day. We get some scenes with the past "Wait with Me" characters and I loved having them all in one book. It's the perfect wrap-up to the series and this series is an instant re-read for me. I hope we get a spin-off series with Max's brothers. They were such a fun addition to the storyline.

I was lucky enough to listen to the audiobook and when I tell you it was perfect, I do not say this lightly. Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon are some of my PB&J narrators, perfect together. Teddy brought all of Max's grumpy, Zaddy personality to life. Erin was so perfect as Cozy and especially with the tough things Cozy went through before meeting Max and Everly.

Last in Line

Amy Daws is a genius! Is it me, or are Amy’s books getting better and better? I laughed so hard, and cried, and love all the characters, and they couldn’t have been more perfect. I intend to add this to my top 10 list, of all time favorites.

I can’t wait to see what comes next, because I know it’s going to be great.

Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton were the absolute best narrators for this. They give my heart that warm and fuzzy feeling every time I start a new press play, you know it’s going be an enjoyable, and fun listen.

Another masterpiece

Laugh out loud funny nanny/ceo love story, complete with the best kid character ever. Hoping the Fletcher brothers get their own stories next. A series to rival my all time favorite beloved Harris family saga.

Love

I loved that Max got his HEA. I just adored Cozy and Everly. The narration was perfect.

The narration ruined this book for me

The male voice was okay but the female voice… something was wrong with it. This AI phone “press 1” voice mixed with a robot. The sentence infliction was just wrong. And when she did the male voice, all I could think of was Jimmy Stewart in Its A Wonderful Life. “Mary! Mary!” The story is amazing. But the narration is just awful for this book.

Spicy!

Opposites attract and with the hot, grumpy millionaire dad in the mix these opposites are set to get explosive. Spicy "workouts", witty dialogue and an adorable kid in the mix made this a fun listen. It's a great break from reality and it was nice to see a gal that isn't a super model or stick thin getting some love for a change. Multiple tropes at play here so a little something for everyone.

Funny, very good storyline

This was a great audio book, I caught myself laughing out loud several times, it was well written and the ending was expected but who doesn't like a happy ending. I had the book done in one sitting, went to bed at 2:30 am , couldn't put it down.

In my top 5

I am extremely critical of my favorites. This one is battling for a spot in my 2nd and 3rd spots. (My #1 I have listened to 14 times. Nothing will ever beat that one). It starts out where the female character seems a little too spaced out and dorky, but that shortly gets better, just get past her interview and you will be hooked.. I really enjoyed this book and I am trying not to listen to it again for a while, so I can enjoy it again like it was the first time. The narrators are 2 of my favorites. You won't be disappointed. It is really a great listen. This is really one time I can't wait for forgetfulness to kick in so I can enjoy it all over again.
