GUYS guy GUy

I enjoyed the world, its elements, and all the guys in it. That one guy, amazing. Fighting the other guy? What a scene. Then those guys came into the village and had beef with the guys that the guys never met. Guy, did those guys get shown up by guy after making guys sweat about them guys. Then the whole group of guys came to guy the guy of guys and 300 guys guys guy guys, Wow.
And the narrator, what an amazing guy, voicing those guys. Good thing the second story's editor didn't change all the guys to descriptive words that aren't guy. That might take 10 minutes and develop the story flow and immersion to a whole 'nother level, and then, where would I get my fix of my favorite word.

Ideal.

I think in most men's hearts lives a hope that we are ruled by just and noble people. This book well these two books provide a foundation for an amazing ideal. What would happen if you died and instead of dying you found yourself in a world that sees who you were before as nothing more then a legend? That is the world that is created by Michael Sisa. it is an interesting thought experiment at the very least.

Great story and no nonsense

I really enjoyed this book pack. The author focused on the story and side plots were not slow, but to the point and direct.

Satisfying with an OP main character

Once again, I might have passed this over of it wasn't included in a sale but I'm very glad I got this. The concept is good though I'm not unfamiliar with it, so all of these stars are for the execution. I was initially hesitant by one of the top reviews mentioning that the word choices of the author are too colloquially modern like the use of "guys" but I didn't have a problem with it as I listened. My only point of agreement with that review is that the author did re-use a few phrases word for word and rather closely together but they were few. Overall though, this was an incredibly good listen and I bought the sequel right after finishing the first book and binged both in two days. The narrator is talented as well and has joined my list of narrators to look out for. I hope the author continues the series.

A rare gem. Strong main character.

Most of the books I hear are of pitiful and weak main characters that last for numerous chapters. Disgustingly sad, but not our Lark! He's a bad ass. This is how fantasy should be. We are already bored and without power in real life, why endure more of it in our fantasies? The pacing is excellent. This is a rare gem indeed.

Awesome!

I am completely loving this series. The main character is ruthless to his enemies and cares for his friends. A very believable persona. Tom is a fantastic narrator. I can't wait to read/listen to more and infact already listening to the next book. Thanks for this great series and interesting narrative.
