Hannah

Maddox Lovelace. The captivating football player I met in college.

The one I only knew for a week. A week that was...life-changing. Until my phone rang, and I had no choice but to go home.

I left Maddox a letter, putting my feelings on paper, giving him my number, hoping he'd call. But he didn't call.

He never called. He got drafted into the professional league and lived like a king while I stayed home and struggled to stay afloat. I may have followed his career, but now that he's retired from football, I've forced myself to stop thinking about him. And it's okay that I won't ever see him again. That week in college was fifteen years ago. I'm not in love with Maddox anymore. I might even hate him.

Maddox

Hannah Utley. The name that's haunted me since my senior year of college. The girl who caught my attention with her wide eyes and freckled nose. Who spent one week twisting up my insides until she stole a piece of my heart the night we got locked inside the campus library.

The girl who disappeared without a word.

It's the name of the girl I've been trying to forget for fifteen years. And it's the name looking up at me from the resume in my hand.

Because Hannah Utley works for the company I just purchased.

And that makes her mine. Whether she likes it or not.

Loved it.

One of the few authors I will buy every time a new book comes out.she never disappoints and pulls you in to the next story. I always love the connection back to other books. Sissy from Sin Series was a great side character.

SJ Returning to her Roots

This book felt like SJ Tilly was returning to her roots. This book deviated from the recent darker themes and back to the comfort reads like in the Darling Series. Tilly does a great job of creating dynamic characters that you can't help but love! Hannah is a lovable although guarded heroine while Maddox on the surface is a closed off athlete with a soft spot for Hannah. We are also introduced to several characters who I hope we will see more of in the future as well as a few familiar names like Beckett's brother Tony (smoky darling) and Izzy (sleet sugar).

From an audiobook perspective this book was spectacular! The performances by Ardnt and Morgan brought it to life!

Soooo beautiful!

I like a good second chance romance. Toss in a bit of a plus size FMC with an obsessed MMC? It’s like catnip. The narrators were phenomenal! Nothing dragged. Everything flowed easily! It was an amazing story and easy listen! Enjoy!

What a sweet second chance romance!

Hannah Utley and Maddox Lovelace had a life-changing week in college. They were falling madly in love but Life happened and Hannah had to unexpectedly drop out.  She leaves him a letter explaining everything and asking him to call her. He never did.
Maddox can't believe Hannah left without a single word to him. You see, Life also found a way to make him never get that letter and he truly believes his "little bunny" just left.
15 years go by and both are still hunted by the memories. Hannah has seen Maddox become and NFL star and then retire. Maddox never heard anything from or about her. Until he buys a company and, lo and behold, Little Bunny works there.
Life intervened again. All they have to do is clear the air and start over. Meant to be.
What a lovely, warm, low angst second chance romance! I loved how the 30-somethings sometimes reverted to lovesick teenagers and it was the cutest thing ever! Both Hannah and Maddox are just good people who were robbed of a decade and a half of a love that was meant to be. Hannah is a loving daughter and aunt and I really liked how Maddox embraced her family. It was my introduction to S. J. Tilly and I'm definitely going back for more.
Narrated dual style by my favorite pairing: Andi Arndt and Jacob Morgan. Andi gives us a flawless performance as the dedicated daughter and aunt who suddenly sees the love of a lifetime come back into her life. Jacob is adorable in a performance that gives us a burly football player who's head over heels in love with "Little Bunny". He's possessive and protective while being absolutely charming.
The book has a structure of very short chapters that makes it really fun in an audiobook!

Second Chance/Workplace Romance

4.5 stars. This Audiobook had me in a chokehold from the narrators to the plot. The dual narration for short chapters had me finishing this in two days. After fifteen years, Hannah and Maddox have a second chance romance that surprisingly turns into a workplace romance. I'm excited to start binge-reading on the side characters now.

Cute!

Finished Love, Utley tonight! This was such a smooth read! I loved the banter, especially between Maddox and his best friend, Nate Waller. If you like second chance, workplace romance, and some humor (I love that he calls her niece smidge), then you should definitely give this a read!

Narrators did a fantastic job!
