Publisher's summary

A lucid dream begins at the moment you become aware that you are dreaming, and fully conscious of the experience even though your body is sound asleep. In lucid, as well as in semi-lucid dreams, the Holy Spirit may choose to speak personally with our soul. In her intimate autobiographical account, Maria Isabel Pita shares how she was led home to Christ through lucid dreaming as a spiritual practice.

Born into Catholicism in Havana, Cuba, Maria's family fled into exile after the communist revolution, and she grew up in Fairfax, Virginia. As an adult, Maria came to lead a secular life, concentrating primarily on her growth as a writer. The author of several successful novels, the happily married Maria never expected God to personally enter her life. Then she began experiencing lucid dreams. At first, she called them "flying dreams" because flying felt fantastic, and she could think of no better way to make use of them. But as her skill and control as a lucid dreamer improved, a pure and overwhelming Love introduced itself into her life in the form of a mysteriously wonderful Man who began appearing regularly in her dreams, and who she came to think of as her "Guardian Lord".

This compelling account charts Maria's journey through the extraordinary experiences she recorded, and the insight and direction she drew from them as, dream by dream, her soul was guided along a path in keeping with Christian mystical tradition.

Interesting Dreams From a Spiritual Mystic

Lucid Dreams and the Holy Spirit was a very interesting listen. I've listened to a few audiobooks on this subject but I don't think any of them related back to spirituality in a certain sense. Perhaps shamanism but not so much Catholicism. I believe one can be Catholic or any religion and also be spiritual/mystic at the same time. Some say you can't have both but I say why not. I liked this audiobook based on that. I think lucid dreaming has everything to do with spirituality. I found Maria's dreams to be fascinating. I liked when she met the angel Hareem.

I've read a few of the audiobooks she mentioned, When the Church Was Young and My Life With the Saints. Both very good. Overall, this was a neat listen and I hope she writes more on this subject.

I loved that Maria Isabel Pita narrated her own book. She has a wonderful soft voice that was easy to listen to. She spoke very eloquently and made this an enjoyable experience.

I was gifted this audiobook for my honest, unbiased review.

New to me..

This was totally interesting. I never heard of Lucid Dreams or the life of a Christian Mystic. This has opened up my eyes on how others devote themselves to our Lord and Savior. If you are a Christian but find it hard to follow the traditional way, you should definitely listen or read this--whichever you prefer--and perhaps you will do it for you.

It was better the second time around

True to Maria Isabell peters habit we have yet another book that spans genres. This one is semiautobiography, Christian, and Mistik. I cannot find another author I can compare the genius of this author to. She lays her soul bear and open for everyone to see in Lucid Dreams And The Holy Spirit she told us of her beginnings and lucid dreams and her eventual coming back to Christ. I have learned so much from this book as I listen to the book and waiting for the next chapter before I knew it it was over. I didn’t know what I would do I was in the zone and wanted more so I replayed it. I use to Think that people who did yoga and have guardian angels or guides were cuckoo people, but after reading Miss Pita came to adopt these practices and beliefs made perfect sense to me.eme. Especially the last chapter the mysteries of Norwich I think that is what it’s called) she mentions The Sister of Three Wounds and in college I watch the movie where a man pretended to be the sister of the three wounds it caught my attention so much then I went to my college library and got three books on Catholic saints angels and others and being very obsessed with this lady even though I am not Catholic it just struck me as odd that she would mention it in her book as I’ve never Heard of it before or cents. Well I am just going on anon I should’ve said this is an instructor will book 2 because she does the name websites that are or something to look into if you would like to go on the journey she did. I love this author and have loved every book I read by her and everyone seems to be my new favorite and so yes I must say this is my new favorite! I would recommend this to anyone on a spiritual journey or interested in lucid dreaming. As a novice I found this book very helpful as I said I listen to it twice and will probably listen again in a month the two. I just can’t say how much I love this author. FYII mentioned yoga and insinuated it was a belief and it is not, it is an exercise.
