About this listen

I didn't choose this path. No one would.

I played the cards I was dealt.

This life made me. This city made me.

I won't apologize for who I've become.

Moses wouldn't have me any other way.

He says he wants forever, and I'm starting to believe him.

But I can't outrun my past, and my sins are catching up with me.

If it's time to atone, I'll gladly pay my penance.

We might be getting our second chance, but we have to make it out alive first.

Worth a listen to but...

Let’s be honest, this duet should have been 1 book. However, it was still really good. The whole world Meghan describes in NOLA is vivid and amazing. You also love to hate Moses if you listened to the previous series Legend, which I highly recommend if you have not. The way Moses is described in that series you would have no idea he was in his early 40’s and gorgeous. I pictured him as an older guy who has lived a rough life. I loved the whole duet, but the ending was very rushed in my opinion. The 9+ hours leads into and ending that is only the last 20 minutes, which was disappointing. I hope Meghan takes Rhodes and makes that her next book, I would love to hear more about him!

The Perfect HEA for this Couple!

After the cliff we were left on at the end of Creole Kingpin, I can happily say that despite the bloody turn that Magnolia and Moses' road to HEA has taken, the couple came out stronger than ever! I love it when an author uses outside issues as an opportunity for a couple to grow closer as opposed to tearing them apart and we get a really good case of that here. I was surprised (but not unhappy) by the amount of blood and death, we got in this story but it totally makes sense given the setting and the couples background. And I have to say, the ending was oh so sweet! I'm always excited for Meghan March's releases and I can't wait to dig my teeth into another one of her books - fingers crossed she dives in deep to one of the worlds she's already gifted us with because I REALLY love it when her worlds collide and grow! 4 out of 5 wine glasses.

Epic conclusion as only a Meghan March book can do

I will read anything that Meghan March writes. There I said it, i dont think it is a big secret, i have read and reviewed most if not all of her books. I was excited for Magnolia, I love her antiheroes and i love that this duet had not only an anti hero but an anti heroine. This book picks up quite violently with a flashback to Magnolia and Moses' first meeting, and the epic cliffhanger that we were left with at the end of book 1. In terms of cliffhangers that MM has left us with in the past, this one seemed rather tame to me, but dont worry i won't give any spoilers. I enjoyed this book, and felt that Magnolia and Moses got a solid and fitting story, Magnolia is definitely her own hero, and i really liked that we got to live in Moses and Magnolia's relationship a little in this book, get a feel for them together, as opposed to a tug of war throughout the duet. The narration by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon was wonderful, and when some old friends pop in for their old POVs, it was great to hear Joe Arden transition voices and i was right back in his previous character. We got a few cameos in this duet, in book 2 we saw Temperence pop in for a minute, i kept hoping Hennesy or Rix would show up in the police station, or that Ariel would need to solve some tech problems, but they did not cross paths this time. I can't wait to see where Meghan March takes us next, you know I am already waiting.

WOW WOW WOW

WOW WOW WOW!!!! This book is AMAZING!!!!! It was about time Magnolia found her match. She knew she met him 15 years ago and obviously knew in her heart no one else would come close to him. And well Moses knew it too. The best laid plans never seem to pan out, thus the 15 year separation of torture. Even soul mates seems insignificant when describing Mags and Moby. They are perfect together. And of course can't forget the appearance of Mount and Keira, who truly is the kick ass Queen of NOLA along side her King! Highly recommend this series!!!! Erin Malone and Joe Arden did an amazing job as always!

Meghan NEVER disappoints! Magnolia & Moses have an amazing story!!

Meghan March has once again written a story you will not be able to put down once started. This book has every element desired in a contemporary romance. You will laugh cry and be terrified during this story. Magnolia has a personality that is infectious, and Moses???...well, let’s just say you will want your own Moses after this book! Narration is incredible, although I wasn’t surprised with Joe Arden & Erin Mallon. They add even more to this incredibly written story. Joe’s “creole” accent is frickin amazing, and Erin is sexy yet relatable as always!! This is a must listen!!
