Publisher's summary

Matthew’s Journey is a story of hope, redemption, and a second chance. We continue the story of Matthew’s redemption as he encounters the people God places in his life. As he helps free them from their bondage, he sees himself and understands God’s calling on his life. With Bianca and Beasley at his side and Gabriel guiding him on his journey, Matthew discovers God does have a wonderful plan for his life.

Matthew’s Journey is a stand-alone book, but it is the sequel to Set Apart. Matthew was born on Chicago’s South Side. On Christmas morning, at ten years of age, Matthew found his mother on the couch. She died from a drug overdose. Separated from his brother and sister, he was placed in foster care to languish until he aged out of the system. But that wasn't God's plan for Matthew.

Following a three-year tour in Iraq, Matthew returned to Chicago, but why? There was no reason to return. He had no family or friends—but there was a reason. God showed him why he was Set Apart, and there Matthew’s Journey begins.
