Uplifting new take (sometimes) on an old formula
It’s refreshing to hear these campfire stories that aren’t always about near brushes with death. Yes, that exists here too, but the interweaving of discovery stories provides great pacing for the volume. Contemplative and exciting encounters with nature and outdoorsman/hunting history reminds the listener that not all great stories have to be about close calls that inspire epiphanies about the value of life. However, those stories are always just as thrilling, thought-provoking, and welcome. I shall be anxiously waiting Volume 4!
