Publisher's summary

Monster Hunter International might be the premier monster eradication company in the business, but they’ve got competition.

When hunters from around the world gather in Las Vegas for a conference, a creature left over from a World War Two weapons experiment wakes up and goes on a rampage across the desert. A not-so-friendly wager between the rival companies turns into a race to see who can bag the mysterious creature first. Only there is far more to this particular case than meets the eye, and as Hunters fall prey to their worst nightmares, Owen Zastava Pitt and the staff of Monster Hunter International have to stop an ancient god from turning Sin City into a literal hell on earth.

MHI - Better and Better!

Seeing how Edward reacted to Tanya

Which character – as performed by Oliver Wyman – was your favorite?

Owen of course!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Chuckle out loud... while on a crowded NYC Bus.

Any additional comments?

Larry never disappoints!

Where does Monster Hunter Legion rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Can't put these books down; the story, writing style and naration are all first rate and Larry is now on my top 5 author list.

What other book might you compare Monster Hunter Legion to and why?

Brandon Sanderson is an another author that ranks up with Larry so if anyone likes the Monster Hunter books will love Brandon's work.

Have you listened to any of Oliver Wyman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

What I've discovered listening to Monster Hunter is that I must find other books narated by Oliver Wyman. Oliver, hats off to you, absolutely wonderful, believable and unique voices; you are one of the best.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I found Larry one a podcast with Brandon Sanderson and two other authors and thought I'd give him a try. After I read the first book I couldn't buy the rest of his work fast enough. The only problem I have is after reading his Monster series I now have to wait till he writes another.

Any additional comments?

That podcast that I came across on Brandon's web site led me to Larry who was a great find. Now I'm going back to that podcast and look up the other two authors. Don't you just love it?

Guns, explosions and a ton of fun

What did you love best about Monster Hunter Legion?

Owen Z. Pitt. He is just my kind of hero. If it moves shoot it, if it doesn't shoot it anyways.

What other book might you compare Monster Hunter Legion to and why?

Never heard anything like this book before.

What about Oliver Wyman’s performance did you like?

He is prob. the best narrator I have ever heard. He does every character perfect, from Owen, Julia and Tripp to Agent Franks and Management.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I saw sky, ground and sky again. Laughed really hard.

Any additional comments?

Just listen to it, read it, however you prefer it. You will have fun, be entertained and listen to an interesting story.

Viva Las Vegas!

More Monsters, More Monster Hunters, Bigger Guns, Bigger Explosions and Velvet Elvis, Larry Correia and Oliver Wyman's latest Monster Hunter International collaboration is 16 hours and 35 minutes of adrenaline soaked action. Owen, Earl, Julie, Trip, Holly, Milo, Skippy, and Ed head to Vegas for the first ever International convention of monster hunters and Sin City will never be the same.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas but the larger than life antics of our favourite characters threaten to overwhelm this folklore maxim. Larry Correia supplies another gripping adventure interlaced with twists, back stories, and just a touch of romance while Oliver Wyman's performance breathes life into the characters and gives the story wings.

Monster Hunter Legion does a great job of tying the three previous ( International, Vendetta, and Alpha) novels together and lays the foundation for even greater adventures. This series just keeps getting better.

My only negative is waiting for the next book in the series.

Love MHI but need to take a break

This is not the best that SciFi/fantasy has to offer, but it's fun! I always enjoy listening to a Correia book. He's funny and keeps the action moving. But, I get tired of his nonuse of contractions and repeting of motives and feelings for his main characters. I made the mistake of listening to Alpha and this almost one after another and I think I'll need to takle a break for awhile.

This is a fun book and the narration was solid, but there wasn't anything new here and it just fell a little flat for me.
