Publisher's summary
Elizabeth Bennet knows her talents do not lie with the needle. And what does it matter? She only wishes to see her sister Jane joyfully wed to Mr. Bingley.
Mr. Darcy? That's a pattern best untouched.
Except Elizabeth finds her initial beliefs challenged as sewing fever sweeps over Meryton, leading to misunderstandings, betrayals, and unwanted confessions.
Will a pair of handkerchiefs lead Elizabeth and Jane to their perfect match?
With Mr. Wickham's machinations and Mr. Collins blundering about, any promise of love may soon be tangled beyond repair.
Unless Mr. Darcy can sew up a stitch in time...
Mr. Darcy's Stitch in Time is a sweet Pride and Prejudice variation of 29,000 words with happy ending for ODC, guaranteed.

I much prefer the sharpest criticism of a single intelligent man to the thoughtless approval of the masses. ELIZABETH BENNET is determined that she will put a stop to her mother’s plans to marry off the eldest Bennet daughter to Mr. Collins, the Longbourn heir, but a man that Mr. Bennet considers an annoying dimwit. Hence, Elizabeth disguises herself as Jane and repeats her vows to the supercilious rector as if she is her sister, thereby voiding the nuptials and saving Jane from a life of drudgery. Yet, even the “best laid plans” can often go awry. FITZWILLIAM DARCY is desperate to ...

Still shaken from his horrible proposal, Elizabeth Bennet falls ill at the Rosings Parsonage upon reading Fitzwilliam Darcy’s letter. In her increasingly delirious state, unfathomable influences inspire her to write an impulsive response. The letter gives Mr. Darcy hope in a way that nothing else could. As her illness progresses, Darcy is there at her side, crossing boundaries he has never crossed, declaring things he has never declared. A unique experience bridges them over their earlier misunderstandings, and they start to work out their differences. That is, until Elizabeth begins to ...

The Bennet family of Longbourn, Hertfordshire, had long been known to its neighbours as exceptionally learned though eccentric, but was tolerated because the first Bennets settled there more than four hundred years before, just after the great plague. Both the grandfather and father of the master, Mr. Thomas Bennet, married blue-stocking wives from the Continent. These circumstances had a profound effect on Mrs. Bennet and her five daughters. Because of this broader worldview, the Bennet family was more aware of, and affected by some historical events of the period far outside the twenty-...

In this sweet, clean, low-angst Pride and Prejudice variation, Darcy and Elizabeth meet for the first time when Mr. Darcy Senior stumbles across Elizabeth on the estate grounds. Without a clue as to who this gentleman truly is, she is shepherded into the study to meet the young master of Pemberley. This 62,000 word novel is written from a decidedly Christian perspective although there are scenes of non-graphic intimacy between married couples. Except: “Father, what are you about? Why did you coerce poor Miss Bennet into the study? " "Please sit down, Son. Do you not remember our agreement...

This novella of about 27,000 words takes place five years after Lydia Bennet’s elopement and the subsequent ruin of her family. When Elizabeth attempts to rescue Lydia from her life as a courtesan, she is herself mistaken as a woman of ill-repute by Mr. Darcy and his cousin Colonel Fitzwilliam, leading to an amusing tangle when she gains the attention of both gentlemen. This is a sweet, low angst Regency romance with no explicit intimacy and a Christian moral. Note: This book was originally published in 2021. It has been reedited, but the story is not materially changed from the original.

Story
What if Mrs. Bennet is a well-educated tradesman’s daughter, Mr. Collins takes his parish duties seriously and Mr. Bennet overcomes his laziness? A clean reimagining of P&P, focusing on the gentlemen of our story.

Story
What if there were no entail? When Mr. Bennet dies, the Bennet ladies are given a new home at their Uncle Gardiner’s estate, Netherfield Park. When Mr. Bingley looks to lease an estate close to London, Longbourn seems the perfect solution. And he brings with him his best friend Fitzwilliam Darcy, along with Miss Bingley, Mr. and Mrs. Hurst, retired Col. Fitzwilliam, and the longtime mentor of Darcy and Fitzwilliam, Mr. Wickham. Lady Anne Darcy, Lady Catherine de Bourgh, and other family members plot against our favorite couple. Will they succeed in their efforts to compromise Miss Darcy?

Virtual voice = bland and boring
If the book had a real person narrating it would have been much more engaging. Unfortunately, they chose a virtual voice, which I did not realize before purchasing, and it drones on… honestly the book just finished and I don’t have a clue what even happened. The voice completely ruined it.
If they ever record a real person, I might give it another try, but in the meantime it’s getting deleted.
