Publisher's summary

Hidden in the Nevada desert is America’s most advanced aerospace weapons-testing facility. Dreamland is the place where the nation’s top minds come to develop artillery and aircraft that push beyond the cutting edge. And where the Air Force’s top guns come to test them – on the front lines of a new era in warfare…

As politicians push for more budget cuts, Colonel “Dog” Bastian must do what he can to salvage a key experimental program known as ANTARES - a method of merging electronic data with a pilot’s natural senses. In need of quick results, a test pilot is hooked into the system - a system that allows him to operate several planes at once directly from his brain. But when he can no longer distinguish reality from computer-induced delusions, Dreamland’s worst nightmare comes to life.

Critic reviews

“Few novelists can craft an aerial battle scene more strategically than former U.S. Air Force Captain Brown, and he and DeFelice are in fine form here.” ( Publishers Weekly)

Going thru this series multiple times over several years I have not had a single dull moment from the novels! The characters are so energized and so complete that I have created connections with them and with Mr. Brown, I am so pleased to have found this series when I had great aspirations for military service, specifically the Air Force 😁

Mental Torture

It's a hard one to grind through. The mind guys should love it. I normally give five stars and enjoy Dale Brown's stories, but this one was a struggle.

Enter Title Here

Techno thriller involves high tech stuff of Dreamland--interfacing experimental computer/human brain and piloting drones. Starts off a little unreal as the commander of "Dreamland" takes orders from a Congressman. Author's bread and butter technology laden airplane, a modified B-52, multiples and becomes many. One of them goes berserk as the pilot takes retribution over two continents with a South American revolution thrown in....naw! C'mon Brown, get a grip.

I like Dale Brown Too!

So I rate this book higher because of the fact that I am already expecting some good story at the onset. His other writings are stronger, and yes, I loved his Razor's Edge, his earlier book Pirahna and Revolution and Strike Zone. This one, Nerve Center, wasn't as grand as all the others, but I did enjoy his writings and listening to Jim DeFelice as always. Typically a romance thriller lover, my brothers persuaded me to give these series a chance, and I am glad I did!

reading it for the third time over many years.

this is the third time that I read nerve center and I liked it just as much the third time that I did on the first time. This is a continuation of many of the stories at have accompanied the Dreamland series and this book will catapult many into the next few books that deal with Dreamland and possibly the mclanahan series, they are all good reads.

Not worth the time

I like Dale Brown books, not this one.

Dale Brown is one of the best fiction writers I have read. But this book was far from the way you expect. I was disappointed
