Publisher's summary

From New York Times & USA Today best-selling author Bella Andre comes a trilogy about three brave firefighters...who will risk everything for the women they love: Wild Heat (Book 1), Hot as Sin (Book 2), and Never Too Hot (Book 3)

A touch ignites. A fire burns. And the heat has just begun.

Deep in the cool green mountains of the Adirondacks, wounded firefighter Connor MacKenzie has come to rebuild the 100-year-old MacKenzie family cabin - and to be alone. A horrific blaze has left him scarred inside and out and certain of two things: He'll get back on his Hot Shot crew no matter what it takes, and any woman who ventures too close will not stay long.

Ginger Sinclair has been burned by a different kind of fire. Having just escaped from a bad marriage, she's retreated to the safety of the lakeside vacation town in upstate New York to start a new life. She's done with men, with relationships, with the danger of desires that can rage out of control - until she unexpectedly encounters Connor MacKenzie. As a hot summer on the lake grows ever hotter, they find themselves sharing a cabin and a romance that will swiftly engulf them both.

What I especially like about this novel.... was how well this author gives the reader a beautiful story of the wounded Hotshot fireman, Connor MacKenzie and his meeting Ginger Sinclair at his grandparents cabin in the mountains of the Adirondacks. I loved how this relationship progressed with these two having some deep problems that will have to been worked out. How will this happen? Be ready for a few other issues that will come out in this read that will give the reader a well written story that will be hard to put down. I especially loved this ending bringing this series to a wonderful closing.

BA PACKS A LOT INTO THIS EMOTIONAL FINAL STORY

Take one mentally and physically scarred ex-firefighter hero named Connor, add one woman recently divorced from a really bad marriage called Ginger, put them together in a log cabin and watch as the smouldering instant attraction ignites lust and the sparks soon fly. Then suddenly you have an inferno of passion, sex, denial, sacrifice, hurt and desire as Ginger desperately holds on as they both try to overcome Connor's past, and oh so present, buried emotions.

Entwined along with that storyline is a 'second chance' love affair between Andrew (Connor's Father) and Isabelle who were once childhood sweethearts but a teenage betrayal changed the course of theirs and so many others lives. However, never say never and 30 years later can hindsight and forgiveness finally overcome the hurt and rekindle their feelings in this touching, tender, heart-wrenching love affair and will they eventually get their happy ending.

Don't expect an action-packed listen but rather two well written old and new love stories with sub plots, great characters, a misunderstood teenager, a recap of the previous couple's stories and witness the near fatal crisis at the end finally brings everyone together.

Worth a credit? YES, a very pleasant (if not really plausible) ending to the trilogy spanning one family - could be a stand-alone listen but for greatest enjoyment listen to them in order. I don't know if BA intends to write about any other Hot Shots.

Love, Love, Loved it!!!! A full figured heroine!

If you are a full figured woman like i am you will LOVE this story. Ginger is full figured head strong woman that doesn't back down. She if full of confidence most of the time but like most full figured women insecurities come out at times. Conner comes to town and turns her world around.
Very nice not to have the perfect model as the heroine. This book was my favorite in this series.

Now THIS is How You End a SERIES!

Any additional comments?

.
What a fantastic book! I really like how Bella Andre gave us a two-for-one deal in this book. We have two sets: or #1 Ginger & Conner as well as #2 former sweethearts that made difficult decisions 30 years prior meet up again.

Connor is damaged physically and mentally - now he has to wait for the decision from the fire fighters examination board. They will decide whether he will be able to return to being a firefighter or not, after serious burns that were a small aside in Book #1 of the series. If you cannot be a firefighter, what else can Conner be as that's all that he loves.

Ginger is recently divorced and questions herself as she tries to please everyone around her. Ginger & Conner meet and it is immediately there's hot physical relationship but will there ever be intimacy?

The second couple is Connor's father and Isabella who used to date when they were young and it has been a lifetime (30 years.) When Andrew cheated and got another woman pregnant. He married the other woman and Isabella met and married a man raise children. They are both single again and he is looking for a way to make up for his transgression.

This book does not have a whole lot about firefighting or fires until the very end. However, there was just enough detail to keep with the team and a really great pair of plot a.k.a. romances that kept me intrigued the whole time. I did listen to this in one setting because IT WAS THAT GOOD.Keeping me up listening and staying up past my bedtime.

The narrator, Eva Kaminsky does an excellent job, as always. She is telling the story more than performing and very believable. She doesn't struggle with trying to make her voice deeper for what the man says, etc.

Notes: Mature themes

Credit worthy/$: Absolutely. In my opinion, this is the best in the three part series. The book it's relatively inexpensive. The prices are reasonable and I acquired these three by waiting.
