Resumen del Editor

The current tour of duty for Leftenant Trig Bioblast, Second Shaman of the OCSS Skull Crusher, had been completely routine, and, disappointingly, uneventful. The days of revolution were a distant five hundred galactic years in the past.

Today, there was very little in the cluster that could significantly challenge an Oak Clan Star Ship, nor, admittedly any other clan cruiser in the horde. The last battle that had actually required the Skull Crusher to marshal her full might had been with a squid ship, nearly four GY ago, well before Trig had joined the ship.

While on duty, Trig had received an Automated AEthereal Message from the OCSS Bone Wracker: a Call-To-Arms, an extremely rare type of message that was only issued when a ship encountered a situation that was beyond the capabilities of a single OCSS.

Of course, the truly exciting news was that his superior, Thargus, was temporarily incapacitated, making Trig the acting First Shaman, giving him a front row seat to the investigation as part of the First Away Team. It appeared that, at long last, his on-duty life would get exciting enough to distract him from his off-duty life.

About two Galactic Weeks ago, a long dormant shaman stone passed down his family tree for thousands of years had suddenly become active, much to Trig's surprise. Upon examining the stone, he'd discovered that it was linked to another stone—in a different universe, beyond the Astral Plane. And the people who had activated the stone? Well, they were an ancient army of mythological immortal warriors that his grandfather claimed had once ruled a vast Multiversal Empire, but then vanished for no known reason.

A worthy adversary for their ship and a heated battle or two should serve to keep his mind off his mythological being problem.

a bit disappointing

in my opinion it went to fare away from the first book, and turned way to much into space stargate galatica kind of thing. hope the next book will follow orkis again.

Fun Addition to the Multiverse

Initially I held off listening to the new story. I really wanted a continuation of Thomas and friends but I'm glad I added it to the library. It's a fun expansion on the original story and partial continuation. Narration was well done, other than the frustrating translocuted stuff.

it's not a direct sequel, but still good.

I've read what others said, and put off reading this for a long while because of them. This is not a direct sequal, but more like a long time skip then coming back to find a side story.

That still means this is a good heir to the series, and if that is what the author needs to do, that is what her needs to do.

A Fun Story! -- Heroic Orcs, Sci Fi, and Mythos

This book doesn't feel like Demons of Astlan per se. In this one we don't really have different factions and perspectives, or play with human foibles. The charm in this book is more from the standpoint of a mystery, combat between capital ships, exploration, and a strange new world or two -- all from the perspective of a particular group of (kinda) 40K style spacefaring orcs.

This book starts slow but manages to move along with reasonably good humor, an adequate concept of how to mix science fiction with fantasy, and a series of quests.

It's good!

Excellent Book

My reason for leaving a review is entirely self-serving. I like this series and want another book sometime soon. Buy it. Buy it now.

The story continues and this one's just as good as the others 👍 Stephen Bel Davies does an excellent job brining the Orc-verse to life

An EXCELLENT addition to the multiverse!!!

Once again I'm absolutely blown away by the narration and story of Stephen and Langland!! I was hooked from the start and enjoyed all of the new faces as well as cameos from the main series. While prior knowledge of the multiverse isn't needed, some aspects would be hard to follow without it, which is why it was so fun to re-discover with a new perspective from characters that would be just as confused as someone thrown into a multiversal war between enemies that have been fighting for eons! It was so nice to hear from my favorite characters and get to meet new ones. This is obviously going to be worthy of stand alone praise as it's own series but seeing the multiverse expanded and built upon was a thrilling ride!! I was enraptured by every new revelation in this book and I was sad to see it end but what an end it was!! The last lines of this book will have your shivering in anticipation for the next one!
