How pot master Ji unwittingly invented fireworks.
When street cook Ji and his daughter Ning face losing their livelihoods, the desperate pot master asks a local volcano for relief. To his surprise, the mountain grants him a gift, but once the cook produces colorful fire shows, he raises the attention of a powerful priest and a local lord, who aim to make the fire magic a power of their own.
“Of Woks and Volcanoes” is based on the Chinese legend about a cook who unwittingly invented fireworks. While based on the original myth, this story features added suspense, intrigue, superstition, and a pinch of the supernatural.
