I am blown away!

I have to say this book is the best accidental find! I am just speechless!
Must give a HUGE thanks to the narrator-she is BRILLIANT and took me on this adventure from page 1! I don't want it to end!!! Wow! Good news is- there are so many books in this series that I don't have to worry about it for a while.
And the writer-hands down-best story I ever listened to so far! Looking forward to staying in 17th/21st century for the next 7 books. Bow to the author and the narrator for such amazing work!

an amazing series!

this book was written wonderfully! The narration was clear and loud and thoughtfully read. I can't wait for the rest of the series!

The story is enjoyable, but I dislike the narrator

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I don't think so. The story is wonderful, in despite of the book be longer, and with a very slow developing of the events. So, I think I would recommended the printed version.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Well, say the narrator detract the book is be extreme. But, listen Davina wasn't a pleasent experince for me. Ididn't identify myself with ther narrator, so it made the audiobook very boring sometimes. I don't mind listen long audiobooks - because if the story is welll written, the I don't want to stop. But, here, we have a very, very slow developing, and on the begin of the book, Claire's looks like a old lady telling a story. Afther she travels in time, the narration is better. But, I didn't find a connection with the narrator, so I finish the book because the story is very attractive, but I though on give up many, many times.

Any additional comments?

If the person likes historical romance, this book is a option. However, the historical events is
just mentioned. We know Claire travels to 1744, and the battle of Culloden is in 1746. So this book is about the romance of Claire and James Fraser and the hates of Capitan Randall for Claire and James.

Can’t put it down...

You just have to know what happens next! You care about the characters and you definitely “need to know”!

For the most part I try to altogether avoid romance novels, that being said this is also a historical fiction, a sci-fi novel, as well as a complete adventure. Quite a well written story indeed. The character development is incredible. The audio format is very very fitting for this novel, and I can honestly say I wouldn't want to attempt read it any other way. I can't say that I completely enjoyed reading/listening to the sexual encounters, however, it does add to the storyline in its own way; the story itself is much, much more. For example you will hear about clans, rapes, murders, theft, hangings, wolves and beatings (makes you want to read it right now doesn't it?) Joking of course, while it does have all those things wrapped into a romance, you will be unable to stop listening until you finish the novel. You will not be able to put this down, and you will inadvertently imagine yourself with Jamie. (Insert googley eyes here)

Davina Porter wonderfully narrates this love story. I intend to read the entire series. I love the character and the Scotland setting.

Fantastic writer. Fabulous love Story

I throughly loved the book. I watch the series on Starz and am obsessed. The book goes to great depth to show the unbounding love these characters have for one another. I didn't know much about the Highlander's and their cultures and customs and it has been entertaining how she has brought to life their own special society. I will be listening to the complete serie that the author has written.

I really loved the story of this book. Was bothered somewhat by the fact that you could hear coughing and talking voices behind the narrator though!

Emotional Rollercoaster but Amazing

made me cry, laugh out loud, and yearn for a love like this for myself. Very worth the read.

Love this story

Couldn't "put it down" and would sit in the car listening long after I'd pulled to the driveway. You'll enjoy it too should you like historical romances with a touch of intrigue, humor, adventure and action.
