Female Narrator

Well written and good story just hard to get past the 40yr old voice that’s supposed to be a 20 year old.

Great start to series!

This book was great! I love Ms. Grey’s writing style. I especially love how she writes the male main characters. Despite their violence, you can’t help but fall for them. Once they find the one, that’s it for them. Roman was awesome, but Emily could be a little annoying at times. Roman definitely had the touch her and d!e a gruesome death, which he proved more than once. He didn’t care if you were male or female if you did something to his woman. Emily would also do anything for Roman. His brothers were great! Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott did an awesome job of bringing the characters to life. I am looking forward to the next books in this series. I hope all of her books come to Audible.

I love Sonja

Ive not read/listened to a book by this author that I haven’t absolutely adored. The male characters she writes have just enough dark and tenderness and the women always have an admirable strength, they don’t make careless choices (a common thing in mafia romances I’ve noticed) and all the romantically involved characters fit each other so well.

This follows Emily and Roman, an unlikely but good team. It introduces more of Roman and his brothers (I feel like he was mentioned or briefly in in book 2 of the first series) he and his brothers are on a mission to find their sister and she’s on a mission to find out more about her dad’s gross dealings. He becomes very protective of her, they’re both willing to do pretty
Much anything for each other. And they do. I love that this has darkness but sweetness too. I can’t really do the overly dark anymore, it’s hard to root for a hero or anti hero that’s not really redeemable. But these MC’s aren’t hard to love.

The performance is as per usual top notch. The author is enough to make me buy the book; but anything Wes and Kai narrate I buy lol. They have real chemistry (as do the other narrators for the first series imo) and the book has a real story with some smut as an addition vs smut with the addition of a story. And I like that lol

Great story line.

Steamy read, but nice that the sex didn’t over shadow the story line. I wasn’t a fan of when the male voice did the girl part- too whiny sounding for me. Looking forward to the other books in the series.

Great Heat, suspense, absolutely Loved all the characters ‼️ MMC and MFC were meant for each other. Their love flowed deep.

I love Roman and emily's story

roman and Emily are so cute.
What I like about Sonja Grey's books is there is not tons of conflict between the fmc and mmc. The men are about their women

Loved it!

This book had all the elements that make a great audio book! These brothers-by-choice quickly burrowed themselves into my heart. Their banter was witty, funny and just heartwarming. Emily is the kind of FMC I like-strong, independent and engaging. Her and Roman’s connection was intense and beautiful. Sonja Grey hit this one out of the park in my opinion! Couldn’t hit pause. Narration was spot on as well. It’s going in my “favorites” for sure.

Enjoyable & Spicy 🥵

This first book was a great introduction to this series. I highly recommend reading it! The narrators were fantastic and the plot was intriguing. Worth a credit? Definitely 💯

The story has a second story about his sister. I thought it should have consumed him more - he was kinda nonchalant about it??

I really enjoy listening to this story big time. The characters did a amazing job and everything. I can't wait for the rest of the books. I have read all of the books so I am waiting to listen to the rest. I did listen and read the book at the same time. I love it big time!!!!
