The clock in the psychologist’s office was five minutes fast. A mechanical accident? Or a ploy to give the good doctor a few extra minutes between appointments? Adrienne Cooper had met enough shrinks to know that either was plausible. She wiped her hands on her skirt and looked at her watch again: 11:10. The van was late, but not too late.
