About this listen

Marly Rivers is not crazy. No matter what everyone says. They may think her dream is foolish, but she plans to prove them all wrong—one jar of moonshine at a time.

Single dad Wade Kelley is just fine. No matter what his best friend Jed says. He doesn’t need a woman in his life. But when his son Jake breaks a jar of moonshine, he sets something in motion that neither Wade nor Marly are prepared for.

A friendly favor turns into late nights, long dinners, and a romp in the woods. And in a deer stand too. By the time Wade realizes he’s fallen hard and deep for Mad Marly, it may be too late to tell her. When she falls into real and sudden danger with poachers, he may not even be able to save her.

‘Peaches and Dreams’ is a full-length contemporary romance and can be read as a standalone. Book #4 in the Green Valley Heroes series, Green Valley Chronicles, Penny Reid Book Universe.

Love Wade and Marley!

Peaches and Dreams is a small town, opposites attracts, single dad romance. Marley River is wild while Wade Kelley is a rule follower. Both pinned for each other, but their romance gorgeously unfolded as Marley helped Wade relax while he helped her pay attention to details like remembering her cellphone. Wade was a protective hero, but not in an overbearing way.He also helped her get her moonshine making business up and running. There was no ow/om drama, not even with Wade’s ex-wife who wanted Marley and Wade to succeed as a couple. Each loved and accepted each other for who they are. I loved their connection, how their relationship grew into love, and Marley’s relationship with Wade’s son. The pacing was perfect, the spice level was perfect, and it had everything I look for in a small town romance! There is also no third act break up!

Another wonderful Green Valley romance!

Since falling in love with all of the Winston brothers, I have devoured every story out of Green Valley, TN. Peaches and Dreams is the 4th installment of the Green Valley Heroes series, and as all the rest it didn’t disappoint!! Wade & Marley’s story grabbed my attention from the beginning and I could stop! I can’t wait for more stories from this beloved fictional small town and more from Smartypants Romance!

Fun story, great narrators!

Small town grumpy sunshine trope in the Green Valley “Penny-verse”. Lila Winters brings such personality and fun to everything she does and Chris Brinkley is such a treasure. His expressive storytelling manner makes him one of my favorites.

Opposites do attract

I really enjoyed meeting Wade and getting more of Mad Marly.

Grumpy Bear Wade needed some upheaval, and Marly needed some solid support. These two are so cute and steamy! I waited for what seemed like a lifetime for Chris Brinkley to narrate this one, having read it in Kindle a ton of times. It’s a quick read and an enjoyable listen.

Chris Brinkley 🤤

Chris Brinkley makes these stories even better with that gruff, gravel-y voice. This story was a great one.

Yikes! The Man-Splaining!

I love this author, and I like this series. I was really looking forward to this read. The mmc man-splained way too much to the fmc. Though a strong-willed side character in another book, the fmc never called him on it. There also was no real development between the fmc and other side characters f or m. Sigh...such a disappointment. The voice actors did very well with the what was written, but this one wasn't for me.
For a better series with strong fmcs, I recommend J. Cross' Wolf Gone Wild series.
