Helpful for non-BP

This book provides practical and helpful information for the those who have or had a loved one with BP. It helped elucidate some of the counterintuitive issues, such as commenting on a BP's progress can actually lead to more irrational abandonment fears. Compared against so many other audiobooks on the subject, I found myself taking more notes and waking away with actionable knowledge.

This is a very informative book about Personality Disorders and the different facets as they develop as well as how families influence and contribute to various personality disorders . The author does a very thorough job of describing different personality disorders and the roots and causes of them. I very much enjoyed listening the book and highly recommend it.

Highly recommendable

Would you consider the audio edition of Personality Disorders to be better than the print version?

An informative book that explains, without patronizing, the traits of this particular condition. This text was instrumental in gaining my understanding of it. Would recommend for anyone who is suffering from, or knows someone who is suffering from a personality disorder.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I was initially quite curious about the title of this book, which is why I bought it. From the content of the book, I realize that the book provides great insights into the personality disorders, which allow understanding into the minds of sociopaths. Very interesting!

We have to cope with people and their personality

If you could sum up Personality Disorders in three words, what would they be?

Good book that explains the different personality types and the diseases underneath each personality. I love reading/listening books like this because it makes you understand more about those who are suffering from the disease. Knowing more about what's happening to them helps me relate to them more and appropriately react and reach out to them.

A very good overview

I just listened to this book again and have boosted my original rating significantly, The book in my estimation is short but to the point, accurate and a very good primer on the basics of the most often described disorders in cluster B constellation. Notable: The author delves into a few disorders that are not often spoken to. One of those is Histrionic PD, and in that regard, the author offers a good amount of detail, which I’m glad to now be informed of. For those of us who are dealing with others who exhibit cluster B disorders, or looking into ourselves to identify any of those characteristics which we are sure don’t have, this is an invaluable resource. No verbal clutter. Less is more, and as I write this review, I continue to add even more stars to this book’s rating:)

Just no.

It over generalized and sounds like it comes from an 1800’s understanding with little to be gained from it.
