this story will live in my head for awhile.
absolutely loved this! I don't read fantasy but I am fully invested. great character development and I love the humor. even the chapter names are clever. you can tell the plot was well thought out and I will be anxious to see what's next.

Not what I was expecting, but in a good way
I really didn’t have a lot to go on when I started this book, I don’t like to get into spoilers or reviews before reading, so I was pretty shocked when I learned what the real plot of the story was. I would say, if you don’t like big surprises around themes and plots, definitely do a little bit more research before picking it up. But do not let that dissuade you from reading this fantastic story. I love the elves and I love just a normal hero. For a first book, this was an excellent read. Well plotted, paced, and written story.
