When Mr Collins visits Longbourn, Elizabeth Bennet is shocked by the sycophantic behaviour of her family toward the Longbourn heir. Mrs Bennet declares that any of her daughters had better accept the man if he offers for them, and Elizabeth quickly comes to suspect that her father will not defend them should they wish to refuse. Despite her protestations, Elizabeth finds herself engaged to her cousin against her will and her sisters turned against her, showing Elizabeth harsh revelations about Jane's true character.

Story
For twenty years Elizabeth Bennet had lived, quite contentedly, as the second daughter of a country squire. During her Easter visit to her newly married friend, Lizzy has the dubious pleasure of being introduced to Lady Catherine de Bourgh and her cosseted daughter. To Elizabeth’s surprise, the pair take a keen interest in a mere adopted daughter of the Bennet family, and when Mr. Darcy dutifully pays his annual visit to Rosings Park, her life takes a wholly unexpected turn.

Story
Of Gates and Grace is a light, sweet, very low-angst novella of a little 39,000 words written from a decidedly Christian perspective. When Darcy and Elizabeth meet for the first time – or is it the second? – he mistakes her for a wood nymph. Excerpt: “Well, are you coming in?” After a pause, the gatekeeper, presumably St. Peter, repeated more slowly as if he was speaking to slow-witted children, “So are you two coming in or staying out there?” Darcy spoke first, “I don’t think I’m finished yet. I have more that I need to accomplish. My sister isn’t yet married, and…and...

Story
When Charlotte Lucas becomes the new Mrs. Bennet, taking charge of the household after her predecessor's untimely death, she guides the fates of the five Bennet sisters with a steady hand. Even Mr. Darcy can find little to criticise in the elegant family, and much to admire in the witty, clever Elizabeth. However, rumours and scandals brew when the charming but deceitful Mr. Wickham arrives in Meryton. Jealous Caroline Bingley fans the flames against the Bennets, but level-headed Charlotte manoeuvres each challenge with grace.

I hate virtual voice
this would have been really good if it wouldn't have had virtual voice. that makes this awful. there's no inflection it's monotone everybody has the same voice you have no idea who's talking. I think that when authors or whoever decides to use Virtual voice is not giving their work the credit that it's due.
