Publisher's summary

Duke Webb has run the most successful bail recovery agency in Atlanta for over 20 years. That's because he has a team of trained, competent hunters backing him up to keep his name feared on the streets. But Duke knows that nothing can go on forever. That's what leads him to start his new training program.

Kellam Knight has studied martial arts under his sensei, Quick, since he was 8 years old. A tossed-out reject from high-society, Kell has a problem fighting on the right side of the law. When Quick offers Kell the opportunity to join Duke's training program, he's all in. Except he's not prepared for the straight, over-confident, extremely disciplined, sexy man Brian has recruited to be his partner.

Tyrell Jenkins' world was flipped upside down when his father never returned home from his last deployment. He'd been Ty's teacher, mentor, his guide to living a righteous life as a good man. When Brian King - his father's most trusted comrade - finally comes to him with the truth, he doesn't come alone. He comes with trained men hidden in the shadows...and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a brotherhood unlike any other.

Contains mature themes.

Great!

First: My deepest condolences to the author for her lose.
Second: I couldn't wait for the audible so I bought the book and it was Great. The background for each character was heart breaking. The two different spiritual cultures coming together so easily was refreshing. I stumbled across this author and I am glad I did. I can't wait for the next books on Duke 's Bond Recovery. Keep them coming

Best of the series

True characters in A E Via’s books are always amazing and rich, but Ty and Kel were truly special.

Such a wonderful story

I loved all the books leading to this one. Their stories and love were touching and I loved that it all tied in with the guys. I would love to have more stories of them and the growth of Dukes! Aiden Snow is still as always, AMAZING!

Different but intriguing

I loved the Nothing Special series and I’ve enjoyed the Promises series thus far. Via states this is a book with a different approach and it definitely is. There is a strong religious element and a lack of “steamy” scenes that you usually find in these books. That being said, I feel Via did a good job overall.

A large portion of the book is helping the reader understand Ty and his religious view point when it comes to relationships. I’ve read plenty of reviews bashing Ty’s “treatment” of women. I felt that Ty was generally respectful to women (at least to their face) he just wasn’t interested in the women available/presented in the story. In my opinion, just because he doesn’t want a woman that is more open and free with her sexuality doesn’t make him a bad man, however that’s just me. He is conservative and domineering, but I feel he was built throughout the book where I could understand and accept him (if you have an open mind).

I’m glad I listened to this and will listen again when I go through the series, but I would not want the same “steamy” pace in future books. It ABSOLUTELY fit this particular story and I’m glad extra scenes weren’t added “just because”. I’m just hoping that’s not part of the “new direction” for the series or I’ll have to give it up. Let’s get back to how frisky God, Day and the rest of them were (at least a little bit). 😉

Most touching story.

This story was real. I haven't read a book by a.e. via that I haven't liked yet. The narrator was on point, as usual. although this story has a different vibe from the other books in this series, it's truly loving, raw, real, and no less enjoyable. Thank you A.E. Via and Aiden Snow.

Amazing

I really liked the flow of the story. I fell in love with Ty after his proposal to Kellam. Where are the men like that for me.
