Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author Meghan March comes a sexy new duet with a hero you won't want to miss.

Fall for a woman over text messages? No way in hell.

Reality can never be as good at the fantasy, right?

Wrong. It's better.

Banner Regent is smart, funny, and so far out of my league she might as well be royalty.

I'm a mechanic from Kentucky. She's a New York City party girl.

We were never supposed to meet, but one text started something neither of us saw coming.

How do you seduce the woman who already has everything?

Show her what it's like to be with a real good man.

Enjoyable

Very likable characters, great dialog, outstanding narrators. A little short and a cliffhanger ending, so waiting for the next book.

Love the heroine

This is March’s best heroine yet, sassy, strong and independent. The hero is t too bad either.

I need my own Logan Real Man Brantley!!!

Meghan March's books always have a way of sucking me in and Real Good Man was no exception!!
This audio was Great!!!
Banner and Logan are complete opposites in every way. Small town Country Boy and a Big time City Girl. Logan's primary focus is his business. He restores cars and keeps all the drooling women at a distance. He doesn't need some girl trying to trap him into a relationship or rumors being spread that could put his company reputation down the drain.
So when he meets Banner Regent, he knows he found just the woman he was looking for.
Banner is all about one night stands. She doesn't want to settle down and frankly doesn't even think she's capable.
But this story is about two people who think they are keeping things light and easy who get in over the head with feelings that they didn't see coming.
This book was so addictive.
Meghan March has a way of spinning it all together. Heart-racing chemistry, witty banter, sexy attitudes, and laugh out loud moments.
Highly Enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what happens next after that HUGE cliffhanger!!!!
Oh yes, there is definitely a cliff hanger so be forewarned!
Sebastian York and Elena Wolfe are the perfect narrating duo. Both delivered a performance that was easy to follow, enjoyable to hear, and held just the right amount of believability.

Definitely Recommend!!!

What is with the obsession with Sebastion York?

I just don't get it. I don't find his voice sexy AT ALL, AND he talks in monotone! If the female narrator read like that, there would be all sorts of complaints. I have listened to a few books read by him and they are all the same. I'm done. I will avoid any books narrated by him in the future.

That being said, I did enjoy the story and characters. Lots of sexual tension!

Pay twice for one book

This is not a review of the book it is a criticism of the practice of writing a half story and selling it as a "book" and then selling the other half of the story as a second book, charging readers twice! I love Audible books but it is not cheap especially if you are an avid listener. Whoever is perpetuating this practice needs to stop! I will never again buy a half book and if I do so again I will return it as I did this one when I realized it!!!

A Real Good Listen! (...Very Good!)

What did you love best about Real Good Man?

Meghan March is so great at bringing heat along with heart and this book is no exception. I love when a book can make me laugh (I did a lot), swoon, and has the ability to make me drop my jaw (there's some really fantastic dirty talk in this one!).

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved both Banner and Logan, but the person who stole every scene she was in was Banner's elderly next door neighbor Myrna Frances. The banter back and forth between Banner and 'Frau Francis,' as Banner refers to her, is hilarious! It had me laughing out loud. Their interactions are definitely memorable!

Have you listened to any of Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to both of them SO many times! They are two of the best (and my favorite) narrators I've ever listened to, and anything I see with their names attached to needs to be listened to. This audiobook was just as great as all the other ones they have done, they always give a flawless performance and enhance any book they read!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This book is part 1 of a 2, and I actually waited until I had both of them so that I could listen to them back to back so it was more of a whole book instead of part of one. I'm glad I did it that way because I felt it was better as a whole. I love Meghan March's books, but I thought this would have worked better as one longer book instead of a duet, as together they were just under 11 hours.

Any additional comments?

In New York City Banner Regent is great at finding the wrong guys, but she loves the platonic texting relationship she has with Logan Brantley, a guy from Kentucky she's never actually met. A lot of her texts to him begin with the question "Would a real man..." because it seems the men she comes across in NYC are not real men at all. All of their texts are friendly and innocent...until they're not.

Banner is is probably one of my favorite leading characters Meghan has ever written. She is witty, determined, lovable, loyal and she has zero filter - which makes for some hilarious dialogue. Logan is also one of my favorite male leads, he is dependable, trustworthy, sweet, really good at dirty talk and alpha without being over the top. Together they have phenomenal chemistry and you can't wait until they meet in person to see it simmer and explode.

If you've listened to/read the Dirty Girl series by Meghan you've already met Banner and Logan as this book is intertwined with that and the Dirty Billionaire books. You do not need to have read those though as this duet can stand on its own. It's actually my favorite of all of them as I felt this story had more humor as well as heft to it. I would highly recommend this duet! (But listen to them both back to back if possible as book one ends with a cliffhanger).

Best in series arc

Banner Regent has lost her job and apartment. Her friend Greer asks her sister-in-law Holly if Banner can stay in her Kentucky house. It happens Logan Brantley lives in Goldhaven. The Logan/Wolverine that Banner/Bruce-Hulk had a one night stand with. After weeks of texting, then sexting. And the heat is still there. Added to the story are the pros and cons of small town life.
Wolfe and York are a great combo for narration.
Recommend.
