THE BOARD, standing for Broad Oversight and Research Development, was tasked with one mission—maintaining and influencing the global economic demand and those positioned at the top. However, they’re most distinguished by their proficiency in counterintelligence, assassinations, and covert manipulation. The agents employed by THE BOARD hold positions within the CIA, NSA, White House, and British Secret Intelligence, more commonly referred to as MI6. Highly qualified in their crafts, they achieve their goals by utilizing crime, drugs, human trafficking, and nefariously manipulating foreign and domestic governments.

The Reaper never disappoints
This is one of my favorite book series! Can't wait for Nick to release the next one. Hopefully in the next book it won't be read by AI and they're able to bring back Brian Troxell.

Truth or Fiction?
So enjoyed this story. Irving does a great job creating a vivid picture through his words and details. I appreciate the description of the “military talk” that I wasn’t familiar with as it is not my wheelhouse.
The storyline is way too believable in 2024.
Looking forward to listening to another of Nick Irving’s novels as this latest was my first one after learning of him on PBD’s podcast.

Great story line, bad narration
The virtual voice left a lot to be imagined. Having listened to Irving’s previous books the narration of this book didn’t have the same emotion and was hard to really follow. Hopefully the follow on books in this series goes back to a human narrator.

Great story!!
This story is great I didn't want to shut it off but the AI narration doesn't do it justice, I wish a human was the narrator. it's still a great read or listen.

Computer narration was a big mistake
I have enjoyed all of Nicholas Irvings books but this one ws difficult. Choosing a computer to tell the story means a monotone voice not reflecting any change in characters at all. It was a pretty good story but the narration was really challenging.
