About this listen

Ezekiel died on Earth only to be resurrected in the body of a Lich.

Well, now he’d done it. He was only playing the villain to blow off steam, now he was stuck in the body of one.

Trapped in a hostile world, Zeke must flee his former guild. The problem is, he can only flee into a holy kingdom ruled by the Church of Olattee. Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Only his power is gone, and he must start over.

Well… Mostly anyway. He is still a lich after all and he still has his weapon, Mercy, which is more powerful than even he knows.

The real question is, is he now a villain or not? And will he survive long enough to find out?

Don't miss the next action-packed LitRPG / GameLit series by Levi Werner, the bestselling author behind World of Magic. It's perfect for fans of Sylver Seeker, Book of the Dead, and The Ritualist.

Gray man

Nice to see a non-evil lich. Fun take on the genre. Great performance from the narrator!

This is an amazing book. Just amazing!!!

At first I wasn't sure about what I was getting, I just knew that Aethon publishing offered it... but as soon as I started listening I instantly knew it was fantasy litRPG and was my cuppa joy. Zeke was a wholesome individual albeit bein a lich and all, normally not being a creature I cared about. Even though Zeke used death magic casting spells that only a lich could cast and raise zombies he never lost himself to evil! He always fought for the right side... And just wait until the end, and see what happens when Zeke loses himself to his fury, it's amazing, Just amazing!!!

I still wouldn’t want to be a lich but if I became one I’d probably be like this guy.

Great story funny perspective on a character that normally would be a villain. And good progression of the main character towards becoming something more.

Not overwhelming stats!

one thing that LitRPG does to me with pages of stats is pull me out of the story. This book contains a great story, without the stats becoming too inteusive somehow. The narrator does an excellent job inhabiting all the characters, both real and NPC alike. There are other elements I can't talk about without spoilers, but suffice to say that there are some twists here that I fully enjoyed. GREAT LISTEN.

Liked it ran through the whole book in a day.

Book was good. I normally don't go for the whole stuck in a video game trope. SAO being the only exception.
This is pretty good tho.
Liked the mc. Dude is down to earth and not a whiner.
World building is a little shallow. It is the first book.
The plot leans toward a slice of life.
Performance was excellent. Dude is not in my top five for voice actors, but it was pretty good.

Great story

Great story that focuses more on the choices that one makes vs what someone is.

Hello I'm Friar Brown

So yeah I know Levi and yes Friar Brown was loosely, loosely based off of me. So I am biased to the story because of that. However, having read all of Levi's other works and several others LitRPGs I can honestly say that this is one of my favorites so far. The story is a solid remake of a classic trope, with good characters (Friar Brown not withstanding) and New world dynamics.

Finding that delecate balance between who he is and who he wants to be.

One star off the performance for how many times I double checked to see if the app was still working in the overly long silence between chapters.

A nice change of pace in Litrpgs

I enjoy the growth in the MC and especially like the fact he's not an absolute idiot. Not put into overpowered scenarios with believable progression check. Not a whiner or a depressed sulking mess about circumstances check. This book is a win honestly and a breath of fresh air I recommend.

More moral than necromancer

Love the story and how it evaluates the moral of the necromancer it is just plain fun and a sort of slice of lice kinda story
