Publisher's summary

The sequel you’ve been waiting for: the follow-up to the sensational number-one best seller The Devil Wears Prada.

Eight years have passed since Andrea "Andy" Sachs quit the job "a million girls would die for" working for Miranda Priestly at Runway magazine - a dream that turned out to be a nightmare. Now Andy’s on the top of the world: She’s writing and reporting to her heart’s content; running The Plunge, her wildly successful high-fashion bridal magazine with Miranda’s other ex-assistant, Emily; and most importantly, getting married to the scion of a storied media family and the love of her life.

But the night before her wedding, Andy can’t sleep. As happy as she is - as happy as she should be - she’s still haunted by the specter of her former boss. Maybe it’s survivor syndrome? Or maybe it’s justifiable, self-inflicted, paranoia. From the start, Andy and Emily have felt entitled to use their rolodex of contacts - Miranda’s contacts - from Runway as they make their way in the magazine world. As The Plunge succeeds, Andy and Emily realize they’ll soon come face to face with their former tormenter at industry functions, award ceremonies, and even weddings. Still, Andy can hardly anticipate the horrifying reality that’s approaching - a reversal so profound that she will be squarely in Miranda’s crosshairs once more.

Karma’s a bitch. And Andy’s efforts to build a bright new life have led her directly to the one she fled - and into the path of the Devil herself.

Trust & blurred lines...

I was excited when I learned of this sequel. Enjoyed the book. I'm tempted to go back to read The Devil Wears Prada. Although I already watched the movie several times.

Stupid ending

The beginning of the book was great. You get to see Andy’s life after runway and are so happy for what she has accomplished. Then boom one chapter towards the ruins everything and makes you wish you didn’t waist your time.

Disappointing and lacking

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Sure. I was driving anyway

Would you recommend Revenge Wears Prada to your friends? Why or why not?

No. The Devil Wears Prada was excellent. This was disappointingly predictable, flat and unbelievable. The only saving grace was the reader.

Have you listened to any of Megan Hilty’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Could you see Revenge Wears Prada being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Sure - with the original cast and Matt Bommer playing the husband.

Better than the first!!!

If you liked the first book, you'll love this one. I wasn't crazy about the narrator at first but it gets better and by the end she actually does a really good job. I think I was just used to the narrator from the first book. I really hope this one gets turned into a movie too!!!

very entertaining

is very good i won't say is better than the first one because is a little different, even though it continues with Andrea history, is like a total different book, everything is great it has a little bit of everything but in my opinion it has a lot of unnecessary details and tends to be boring in times but other than that is very good.

Not A Lot Happens

Not a lot happens in this book and there isn’t a lot of conflict between Miranda and Andy as there was in the first book. Reader had nice calming voice. I don’t recommend the book as it is slow but I also don’t hate it.

Tried to Like It

I both read and listened to the Devil Wears Prada which was such a fun read. This sequel just wasn't nearly as good didn't really feel that I was on the side of Ande. Characters were not as interesting and it fell flat for me.

Very disappointing.

Sad waste of time.

The story line circles around the same old characters. Nothing new here. Don't bother with this one.
