In un gustosissimo mix letterario, che coniuga scenari post-apocalittici e sperimentazioni linguistiche – fatte di neologismi, espressioni dialettali romagnole e prestiti pop – la vulcanica chimera Mazza-Sensolini ci trascina con sé in un’avventura truculenta, cinica e spassosissima. Dopo il Crollo, l’estate dura sei mesi e in Emilia Romagna vigono i decreti anti-mutagene. Il Cinno e il Gasato sono due mezzi sopravvissuti: "ultimo dei bolognesi" l’uno, mutante di Riccione l’altro, costituiscono il perfetto filtro per narrare un mondo stravolto in cui la mitologia è costituita ormai dalle icone pop della nostra epoca. La Linea Gotica è ancora una volta terra di scontro (stavolta fra gli inquisitori di papa Bonificato I e un’improbabile accozzaglia di culturisti ultrà), mentre il monopolio della tremenda multinazionale Koop si abbatte inesorabilmente su tutto. Un libro visionario e assurdamente alienante.
Luca Mazza e Giacomo, in arte Jack, Sensolini costituiscono un duo diabolico, alternativamente nominato "Mazzolini" o "Sensazza". Il duo creativo è alla base della fondazione di Ignoranza Eroica, un movimento letterario che trascende i semplici confini del fantasy e del grimdark per ibridare generi, sperimentazione linguistica e vocabolario pop in un unico, magmatico contenitore. I due autori hanno, inoltre, fondato l’etichetta Lethal Records e curato l’antologia – divenuta un cult – N di meNare. Fautori di un’estetica manesca, che si nutre di medievalismo e cyberpunk, hanno all’attivo varie produzioni indipendenti, che hanno riscosso notevole successo fra i lettori (dalla Saga di Taglia a Riviera Napalm). Si sono descritti come l’incubo che partorirebbero Neil Gaiman e Terry Prathcett se consumassero una piadina e due Peroni alla stazione di Riccione.
