I really liked all 3 books so far

In this book, the captain, continued to be predictable. The best way I can describe it is that the story is going along well with good development and good action, but the characters seem stuck. Tad seems especially stuck in limbo. His character hasn't grown, he has the same tendencies, same weaknesses, etc. He isn't a bad character, but as the protagonist, I'd expect more growth in his character and some of the secondary characters. This doesn't make the story bad, it could just be better. I still want to read book 4 and now I have to actually put up a full credit when I want it.

Can’t get enough

Wonderful series. Easy to follow. Love the characters. I’m sure it could use improvement but was satisfied and will listen to again.

Tony giving us this series was a very kind thing

Josh here. What a wild ride this book was. This is the best entry in the series thus far and I found myself “nerding out” far more than I had anticipated. As I was about 2 hours out from finishing this book, I immediately went looking to see if book four was available in audio. Alas, it was not yet meant to be.

Tony did a wonderful job with this book in the EF series. Watching Tag and his hodgepodge crew travel across the universe, encountering beings that I was able to vividly imagine thanks to fantastic descriptions, was a very enjoyable time.

As an IT and security professional, I loved the references to computer logic processing when it came to Alpha and her ability to take part in only the most literal interpretation of an order. Another aspect of this book which drew me in was Tony’s reliance on science and tech based in reality. Knowing that Tony holds a doctoral degree led me to the conclusion that he was trying to add a good bit of realism to the story, making the story that much more interesting and engaging.

The Raktor was easily my favorite character in this book, although Ezekiel took on a very close second/third (tied with Alpha). Another fun part of the book was watching the relationship between the Raktor and humans shift. We see how an alien race might evaluate human behavior and mannerisms, determining how that behavior could alter its interactions with our species.

I am glad that Nick Smith recommended Tony’s works to me. Now that I am waiting on EF book four, I am going to move on to his Tide series. Very well done, doctor. An easy 5/5.

Is a lot better book than the 2nd

I found myself enjoying this book the more I got into it. Especially enjoyed the plant creature and its offspring. That was actually the best part of the book. The author is really becoming adept at telling his story in this book. A lot of the mistakes from book 2 were not present in book 3. This was a far better book than I figured it would be thus a higher rating. A Good Book.

Little bit of Firefly. Add in some Farscape. A nice serving of Star Trek, and some Melchiorri magic!

Fun ride! A plurality of species. A satisfying ending. A throwback to Star Trek, and some weed. Seriously, weed.

Anthony J. Melchiorri, thank you for writing such an enjoyable title. The joy and happiness, is a dish well received. Cheers!

Entertaining enough to keep me listening, narrator was okay too just needs to work on female voices.

Great series! One little thing though...

I've fully enjoyed Shattered Dawn, and the series as a whole, up to this point. Great plot and well written characters. I do, however, have one little issue. At times, the protagonist's repetitive back & forth inner dialog began to sound like nails on a chalkboard. I've never before read, or listened, to a book where I didn't mind, nay, thought it necessary, to skip paragraphs, ie. fast forward multiple 15 sec jumps at a clip. Without the slightest fear of missing part of the story. The book could have easily been 2+ hrs shorter without the extended back and forth internal dialogue - and would have been the better for it, imho.
