About this listen

Nothing's sexier than an man who can keep a secret.

A typical bachelor party is all about beers and beautiful women. A vampire bachelor party is no different - except the men are drinking Blissky (whiskey-flavored synthetic blood). And no one can throw a party quite like Jack, the illegitimate son of the legendary Casanova. But when the party gets out of hand and the cops show up, Jack has some explaining to do... if only he wasn't struck speechless by the beauty of Officer Lara Boucher.

Lara is sure there's something more than a bachelor party going on. What is Jack hiding? And why is he so interested in the recent disappearance of young women all over town? Her investigation uncovers more than she wants to know, especially about this modern-day Casanova. But if she's ever to make detective, she'll need to expose all his secrets... if only her heart wasn't on the line.

💕 The son of Casanova finds love with a cop💕

A very humorous meeting between Laura (a cop) and Jack (Giacomo deVenezia) after noise complaints from 3 floors of the hotel after a bachelor’s party.
Laura can’t be mind controlled by a vampire so he erases her partner’s and the hotel guests/employees memories of the party and lets her go.
She tracks him down numerous times to find out he did that.
She is about to be killed by the armed husband of an abused woman when she decides to call Jack for help. He transports there in time to restrain the man. This saves the lives of Laura, her partner, the wife and their children. This starts the push and pull of her demands that he explain how he can do what he can do and him romancing her.

It had potential. it just fell short in places.

More details would have been nice, in my opinion. It had all the essential parts. I feel the author could have taken it to higher heights. Not bad. maybe I have read too many books in this genre. I need something different.

Couldn't put it down

What made the experience of listening to Secret Life of a Vampire the most enjoyable?

Love the voice and the series is great, first great start in series. Every time I read these books I feel so infatuated with the male lead until the next book, then they get better and better

He’s so kind

He’s a sweet, sweet man that is a vampire and he’s had a hard, sad life and he finally meet someone

Great book Series

Totally enjoy this book series. You can read each book alone but if you read them all you learn about Roman and his life. Totally enjoy it. The only thing I would prefer is if they would use the same voices throughout all the books. This is the only book that I did not enjoy the narrator. Laura’s girlfriend’s voice was very annoying high-pitched

If you have read one in this series you have read

Would you consider the audio edition of Secret Life of a Vampire to be better than the print version?

Because this series became so bland that one book was just like another. I think I would have given up on them if I had to read it myself

Would you recommend Secret Life of a Vampire to your friends? Why or why not?

No

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Stupid love sick humans

Any additional comments?

The first 2 books in this series, I was so excited. I thought I had found another author and series to get my teeth into, but these books are obviously meant to be read t intervals. Read together the plot is exactly the same, just with different characters.

Another Female MC too stupid to be alive...

Is it too much to ask for a female MC that is smart enough to not be a Horror movie damsel reject. I know this is a cute vampire romance series and we are just suppose to wait for the love scenes. But if the Heroines are just a smart as the VANNA dolls, then it is time to stop letting them have sharp objects and give them crayons to entertain themselves.

Simple Logic and normal survial instincts, if you are a police officer, I would hope you could have these.
If the tall, handsome mysterious guy making your lady bits flood over, can teleport, wipe and control minds, and is super human fast... Maybe do not assume that you will be safe on your own, if the bad guys have these powers too.

Rooting for the villains this time and her painful death.

Secret...

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would change the person reading the book. She lacked and I was disappointed. I own the book on my eReader (the whole series) and I think reading it was way better. The accent wasn't good and some of the other characters sounded the same.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Secret Life of a Vampire?

Nothing comes to mind.

What three words best describe Jennifer Bradshaw’s performance?

Blah, blah, blah

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes, but I wouldn't want Jennifer to do any voice overs.

Any additional comments?

I recommend reading this book verses listening it. However I'm keeping the audio version anyway because I like the series.
