Servant Leadership: A Better Way to Do Business contains the research and findings from a servant leadership study that Dustin conducted, and has the potential to revolutionize the way you approach business and leadership. There is a gap in the research regarding the role of love in servant leadership. This study explores the relationship and importance of love within the construct of servant leadership theory. For the purposes of this research, love was not defined as a feeling; love is defined as an action verb. Love is defined as the leader’s ability to serve his or her constituents. The researcher utilized a qualitative research method, which drew on real-life experiences from self-declared servant leaders. The researcher employed ten semi-structured open-ended interviews to gather the data. The researcher utilized NVivo qualitative data analysis software to find key themes from the interview data.

After thematic analysis of the interview data, key themes were discovered. The themes found for the role of love in servant leadership are the following: people, caring, serve, feeling, and relationships. The themes found for the significance of love in today’s leadership culture are the following: people, feeling, different, better, and world. Keywords: servant leadership, servant leader, leadership, service, love, agape love"
