A movie could not write a better villain than to what the republican party involved to and what there goals are, to lie, cheat and create disinformation. Scary times.

Brian Tyler Cohen on poking holes in potatoes

Brian Tyler Cohen has always been a guiding light with his You Tube channel. One of my favorite political information sources that I listen to/watch right along side The Lincoln Project, Pod Save America, and Politicoligy. He is intelligent, well spoken and charismatic and his book (Congrats on becoming The New Your Times #1 bestseller, by the way) is just the culmination of his fantastic and insightful career. You will not be disappointed with his book and very well educated on why you always had that feeling of why you HATE republicans. (I have said that for years and now realize, with my age and wisdom it was not the Republican voters that I hated, but the underhanded Republican politicians instead.)

He does a fantastic job of breaking down the fall of the Republican party and why/when they decided to become the party of NO and ceased to be the Grand Ole Party. How they used the developing technology of the internet and independent media to spread their disinformation and lies simply for the ability to stay in power.

The best chapter was in my humble opinion is certainly the last chapter. Brian goes on to tell the story of why every single vote matters. How so many races were won or lost by the slimmest margins and how speaking to a few more people and convincing them to vote could have easily swung the race differently. What was probably his most touching story of being able to reach that one person that matters certainly is the story of his mother. No spoilers, read/listen to the book. It's worth your time, just as voting will always be.

And always keep poking holes in Republican potatoes Brian. I will always be listening!

So clearly informative

This author made me understand how the Republican party, or Trump’s party, came to have a stranglehold on so many people’s minds - making it impossible for them to see reason and the ultimate doom they are blindly pushing our country into! This realization is depressing to me but I can now have a concrete basis for explaining why we have to fight for democracy to anyone who might be willing to listen. Really loved this book!
