if only i could get my brother to listen

I was so excited for the release of this audio book and opened it immediately when it was unlocked at 12:01 a.m. on Aug 13.

I listened until the end, thinking throughout the experience- how insightful for a young guy.
Brian obviously did his research and he taught me a lesson or two.

I wish my brainwashed MAGA brother, and a few other delusional family members would listen to it and realize how misguided they are… and understand why.

The one thing I would change is at the very beginning. I would have liked to have heard Jamie Raskin narrate the “forward” he’d written.

Otherwise, well done Brian. Well worth the wait.

Informative Relatable and Engaging

The author is very knowledgeable and informative on the topic. He speaks to his audience in a way that is relatable and engaging.

I like the way the author can help me understand and reach a level of clarity without inciting emotions! A great orator with thought inducing style. Speaks to the intellectual and everyday individual without being a bore or too heady. Keep up the good work!

You should listen to this audiobook!

I pre-ordered Shameless Audiobook. I had no idea what the book was about, but I have become to rely on BTC to provide me with multiple avenues for learning about what is going on in politics.

I thought the book was amazing. I read it in one day! Books usually take me a long time to read, but i could stop listening and taking in what he was saying. He does an incredible job providing specific evidence for my assumptions backed up by experts in the field. I now better understand how Nixon, Gingrich, Reagan, Roger Ailes, Rush, W, the young guns, DJT, and the current MAGA Republicans are not just an accident but were/are part of a deliberate plan from the 1960s to ensure that white men remain on top. I love his quotes from interviews with experts, some I know like Mark Elias and Jen Psaki, some I do not know but want to learn more about. I plan on letting my family and friends know about this book and keep "putting holes in potatoes"

Just like all of the videos Brian has produced, this is well thought out and executed. I am happy he is not afraid to speak up and be heard!

Inspired me to keep fighting for democracy! Brian really tells it like it is..I could listen to him all day.

Captivating

Like Brian’s podcasts, he reels you in and keeps you there. Fast moving and never boring as a little humor is injected on occasion.

It's a shame that the audience that needs this the most is least likely to read it.

Thoughtful, well written, well investigated. The evidence is clear, just how bad the GOP has gotten. Abraham Lincoln would certainly be embarrassed by these "modern day Republicans."

Brian makes Politics interesting and understandable

This was a thoroughly enjoyable listening experience. Brian Tyler Cohen completely engages the listener with his conversational style of writing, so that you become totally immersed into the world of politics, but not feel overwhelmed by it. Such a refreshing experience, especially as he is tackling the disfunction of today’s Republican Party and how we arrived at this point. Instead of being dry and boring, Brian’s delivery is like talking with a friend who is intelligent (but not overbearing) and humorous.

I would definitely recommend for everyone, but especially for those who are ambivalent about politics, or who find politics boring. Brian may just change your mind!

Excellent as expected

Clearly written, well researched and well read, this timely work details how Republicans have carefully used disinformation for decades toward their goal of maintaining minority control over our country. Brian's strong sense of humor and irony shine in his own voice and lead the listener effortlessly to his positive conclusions and suggestions which are well worth heeding.
