Good information and motivation

Good information and motivation. Someone could listen to this book daily if they wanted to stay motivated. Or someone could listen to this book each day to learn new lessons. Then again why not do both? The lessons and information are simple and easy to understand.

Everyone could benefit from this book

What made the experience of listening to Shift Happens! the most enjoyable?

Robert Holden has a wonderful way of putting over his message, both with an easy to listen to voice and with some great ways of explaining it through stories of his own experiences with clients. It is so easy to listen to with many pretty funny moments.

I have listened to this book umpteen times, and every time, I gain something more. I can't think of one person I know who could not gain something by listening to this book.

Having the author read his or her own book give so much more - not only do you get wise words, but with the voice, you get the passion, power, energy and enthusiasm with the message.

Do not miss out on a life changing chance.

Peace n love.

What did you like best about this story?

The author's voice and the way he delivered the book in easy to understand chapters.

Which scene was your favorite?

The unreasonable laughter one!!

What did you learn from Shift Happens! that you would use in your daily life?

To remember to live in the moment, in the now.

Any additional comments?

Anyone who listens to this book will not view their life the same way!! It is the way to create a tremendously positive shift in one's life.

Highly recommended!

It's ALL HERE!

Everything I've searched for, biblical principles, spiritual truths, the mind of Christ, seems to be well packed and summer up in this narrative. Appreciating...

You Are Sacred Ground

"You are sacred ground." "Who are you?" "Forget every 'I' that you think you are." There are multitudes of pithy little statements (Wait! That sounds like I'm making light of them when actually I appreciate the hell out of their conciseness and how they made a difference when I heard them) like these throughout this audiobook that highlight Holden's lessons. Remember them, and you'll do well because this is a very thought-provoking, emotionally evocative work. Each chapter starts with a story of a client or comes from his own personal experience and expands to give the listener meaning. There are workaholics, sufferers of chronic fatigue, people attached to suffering or drama (and a truly painful story of a young man who developed agoraphobia after someone "shot" him. What a harrowing experience), and all of them become wonderful, wonderful lessons for us all in Holden's hands.
What keeps "Shift Happens" from being a 5-star listen is 1) The lessons only skim the surface (which of course they're meant to. Still...), and 2) Ack! The music in between chapters seriously drove me nuts. Granted, I listened to it once in one sitting, then a second time at a slower pace (Did I mention that I'm a mess?).
Whatever. The fact that there are so many little lessons means that there's something for everyone. And self development? Sometimes that just means excessive thinking has to give way to living with love, yes?
