About this listen

From the New York Times best-selling author of First Impressions....

After three years, Jace Montgomery is still grieving over his fiancée Stacy's mysterious suicide. He hasn't been interested in another woman since her passing, and her family still blames him for her death. While flipping through one of her old paperbacks, Jace discovers a photo of a house stuck between the pages, bearing the cryptic message, "Ours again. Together forever. See you there." The note was dated the day before her death.

Obsessed with trying to understand Stacy's suicide, Jace seeks out the property - Priory House, a big, brick fortress in Margate, England - and buys it.

It doesn't take long to learn that the house is haunted by a headstrong and feisty ghost, Ann Stuart, whom he must tangle with if he's ever to solve the mystery. Ann died under circumstances similar to those of his late fiancée, and he has a hunch that there is a connection between the two. Through his own investigations and with the help of a beautiful foreign correspondent who is worn out by what she's seen in the world, Jace is forced to reconcile his fiancée's life and her death. What follows is a satisfying and seductive discovery of both time and love by one of America's favorite storytellers.

A True Fan!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I love this story and I love Jude Deveraux. Her stories grab the reader and take them on a journey. I have read the printed version several times and loved them and this one I loved just as much.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Someone to Love?

The collapsed tunnel and how the emotions are heightened.

Which character – as performed by Stafford Clark-Price – was your favorite?

I loved Jace Montgomery and his self-doubt.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed and cried and sympathized with the characters.

Any additional comments?

Jude Deveraux writes such great stories with great heroes and heroines. She draws the reader in and keeps us entertained from beginning to end.

Not Jude Deveraux's best

I am sorry to say it was just a mediocre book. I have always thought a mediocre audio book could have been upgraded to a better book with a different narrator. That narrator is as good as 'selling' the book. "Someone in love" did not suit Stafford Clark-Price.
I didn't hate the book but neither did I love it.

Great performance... story line a little off

Would you consider the audio edition of Someone to Love to be better than the print version?

Yes Ifound the performance the best part!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Someone to Love?

The description of the meal prepared. I could visually see the feast and even taste it!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Throughout all of time

Any additional comments?

Story line was a little far fetched and ending was slightly disappointing... but still good

Some one to love

Just happy that I didn’t buy this book. Also not thrilled I used a credit on it. I found myself rolling my eyes … especially the ending. Stanford Clark-Price did a fair job as the narrator….After reading and listening to Knight in Shining Armor, and loving it, I just felt I’d find another book as equal.
