A great Americam poem

Well performed piece of Amerian poetry as defined by Walt Whitman. His poems are full of insights of the spirit of mankind and this country.

Performance Didn't Catch Whitman's Sentiment

While listening to this performance, I had to wonder if the narrator understood or had even read Whitman's great masterpiece. If he had, he certainly wasn't channeling Whitman in his performance. His moribund, woeful interpretation does not match Whitman's soaring epic's intent.
