Publisher's summary

Our love is imperfect in the most perfect way. It is love done our way. Raw. Unconventional. Sexy as hell. More importantly, it is honest to the core...Or so I think.

One little white lie shouldn't do so much damage. Yet, it changes me forever.

The worst part is that Declan whispers that sweet nothing out of protection. My safety is in the forefront of his mind, especially since there are others who'd hurt me simply to get to him. I never consider that he will be the one to cut me so deeply. But it all starts with that first prick - the night he saves my life.

FIRST TIME WITH THE AUTHOR... WOW

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Aundrea Mitchell and Gary Furlong were great. I've heard Gary before but can't remember what book...

Well, this story rocked me. I haven't listened to anything by Sarah Pepper before and that includes the first of this series so I was thrown into a circus of fairytale characters. Sarah did an excellent job of making everything clear and easy to follow. Darn her and that stupid cliffhanger!!

Two thumbs Up!

Fairytale with a twist

Any additional comments?

Overall an entertaining, interesting and enjoyable story. It took a while for me to really get into the story. Even though there is prologue I still felt like I something was missing. There needed to be a bit more history or background to the characters and their stories. It was a bit confusing at times and thus the story did not always flow smoothly. The story was entertaining and by the end I wanted to know what was going to happen next.

A modern day retelling of some of the more questionable characters from old fairytales. Re-imagining them as demons, witches and such. A bit of a dark romance. It does end a cliffhanger.

Rumpelstiltskin and the Pied Piper an interesting combination. Declan Stilts wanted to pass along the Incubus curse. Not realizing he would come to care about the person he was passing it too.

Gary Furlong did a great job with the narration. Great voice. Easy to listen too for long periods of time. Clearly spoken. Smooth even pace. Great character voices. He did a great job bringing the characters to life.

Aundrea Mitchell did a good job with the narration. Pleasant voice. Clearly spoken. Good character voices. She has a habit of emphasizing/putting more inflection into certain words and it sometimes effects the flow of her narration. It's not a bad thing, but it takes a bit to get used to. Her male voices need a little work. This wouldn't really have been so noticeable if she had been the only one narrating the story.
The narration would have been much more enjoyable if Aundrea narrated all the female parts and Gary narrated all the male parts.

VERY Cool Book to READ

This is a well-written, dark romance with supernatural elements of demons and witches, set in Las Vegas. I really liked the storyline. Gary Furlong did a good job, and Aundrea Mitchell did her best, but there were issues. For ME, the sheer number of mispronounced words through a garble of what sounds like lisping but is probably overproduction were incredibly distracting. There were breaks from it when the male POV came in, and that and the writing are what helped me battle through. (Sorry. It hurts me to say so, but I gotta keep it real.)

The story itself was AWESOME!! I'm glad I powered through and will look for more from this author.

Modern PNR Take on Classic Fairy Tales

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom. This story was an interesting take on some classic fairy tales. I found the narrators to do a good job of bringing the characters and story to life. Overall I enjoyed and liked this audiobook story/writing and narration. It's not one of my favorites or one that will be in my regular rotation of re-listens, but I don't hate it either. It's good for at least an initial read/listen in my opinion, and I don't have any complaints. It just didn't grab me like some of my favorite authors books do.

Not bad, but i was a little lost

So i see from a few other reviews, that i missed a short novella before listening to this. I was lost. I was not sure what was going on. it was hard to get into for me because of that. But other then that it wasn't a bad book.

Dark fantasy

Really need to read the original novella to follow this. It was hard getting into the book not knowing the background. Still I enjoyed it. Different story and likable characters. Great dark fantasy.

The narration was excellent. Wonderful performance.

Interesting!

Any additional comments?

This audiobook was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary unbiased review.
Soulless continues right where Priceless (from the Fairy Tales Confession anthology) ended. Since i did not know this it was a little confusing, but i could follow along without having to read Priceless. It did leave the a disconnect with the characters, as well as not much background information. The recaps helped though so you do not have to read the prequel to this. Won't go into too much so no spoilers, but it was a great re-imagined fairy tale. Recommend this to everyone who likes paranormal, however since the main characters are demons, the more religious readers will have a hard time with it. I give this book 3 stars, wonderful performance.

The Curse of Love..

Any additional comments?

First thing first, I don't like the cover for the kindle book, had to say it, even though I usually don't pay any attention to them. It think its a little scary looking.

The cover for the audio version is much better.

With that said, this book was dark, suspenseful, thought provoking, and an overall

engaging good read.

Aundrea Mitchell and Gary Furlong did well with the narration.

Yessss, Sorry I loved this freaking book

I was given this book in return for my honest unbiased opinion. I love this story, the narration and all of the characters. Oh this book was so me and just refreshing because it was a play on a childhood story. Well we knew him as a troll but in this story he is a demon. I loved it!
