Publisher's summary

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star and New York Times best-selling author Teresa Giudice opens up about her tumultuous past year in her emotional new memoir, Standing Strong.

In her second memoir, Teresa chronicles her life since her release from prison and what it's been like to weather difficult times as a single mother. Though she recounts the happy memories she has experienced over the past year, she also touches upon some of the darkest times of her life, including her parents' hospitalizations for severe medical issues in late 2016, which led to the tragic passing of her mother in March of 2017. With unparalleled honesty and courage, Teresa opens up in Standing Strong in ways she never has before, showing her fans what it truly means to be a survivor.

Teresa Guidice is one tough cookie!

I enjoyed listening to this book at times it was difficult but most of it even though difficult to hear she always puts a positive spin on everything. I think that is how she copes with the roller coaster life that she has led over the last several years. I have followed her career since day one on the television show real housewives of New Jersey. I find Teresa to be the realist of all the housewives. There is no phony with her

Love love loved it!

Theresa was very raw and let it all out and set some rumors straight. I’m sure writing this book was very therapeutic for her.

Love Teresa..

i enjoy her. This book is more real than the others which I have also listened too. The narration is not as conversational as I think she could be. I also thought though touching the full read of instagram posts were not necessary.

The realist of the housewives.

Teresa is just like any mom trying to make it work for her family.

The struggle was real…..

Overall it was okay, but the narration was definitely a struggle. Being bi-lingual is definitely an asset, listening to Tre struggle with words and hearing the edits between frames was beyond a WOW FACTOR!!!

She Reminds Me of a Bigger Milania

I like Teresa and I can't stand Teresa. I liked her last book and I enjoyed this book. The thing that I noticed most about this book is that in the beginning she seemed so contrite and humble. Definitely upset about the situation that she found herself in and squarely putting the blame on Joe. She is working hard and doing her best to recify things and working hard to make sure that her daughters have everything that they need. Then there was the rest of the book.

The death of her mother was so devastating that I felt so bad for her and her father and her brother. She went into great depth about what happened and how it happened, what she and Joey did, where they were, what they felt. It was so sad and heartbreaking.

But then we have the other Teresa who is talking about her 'glam squad' and the designer dresses and her expensive shoes and bags. And she is still talking about how hard it is to make ends meet. That was a bit off putting since there are so many women in the same situation but they do not live in a 10,000 sq ft house on 4 acres or have these designer clothes. Why is she complaining when she is choosing to live in such a manner. She is complaining about needing a better security system even though her house is 'a fortress'. She mentions over and over that she is famous and on tv. We know! We know!

Yes, she did go through a horrible time in prison. She did her time, she made amends and she is mad at Joe and she deserves to be and she should be. But there are so many people out there who are living in such dire circumstances and it made me feel like she is complaining about things that she should be grateful to have. This is the Teresa that I cannot stand.

All in all. I like Teresa. I continue to watch RHONJ and I continue to yell at my tv when one of them acts crazy. My hat is off to her for her four amazing children. She did that well and she did it right. She really is a strong woman and I cannot help but hope that she kicks Joe to the curb. She deserves better.

Love Love love

Loved every minute of it! Was able to connect with her on many levels; being Italian, having daughters, losing my mom. Love how she is so strong and teachers her children that things may knock you down but as long as you get back up things will get better! May God continue to bless her and her family!
