The force is strong with this one

This is everything that made me fall in love with the prequel trilogy and the clone wars, and I can safely say that more than just a few of these stories are worthy of becoming animated or live action stories. Now to wait until the next one!

Mixed bag

There are a few awesome stories here and then there are a few that are just ok. And one that was unfinishable.

Mediocre Collection of Stories

This is a short collection of canon stories about characters we are familiar with. A few new make appearances, but this is mostly about majors. There are only two Sith stories, and one of those is a shared tale with Jedi. Unfortunately, it is like many canon books, mediocre stories avail. I couldn't pick one as a favorite. One was just a rehash of the finale of Revenge of the Sith. Voice talent in the audio is great. It makes me miss the legends authors even more. I'm glad many of the legends books are being given unabridged audio versions.

Fun Short Bites of Star Wars

Without giving anything away, this was a fun collection of short stories in the universe of Star Wars. I liked that there were multiple readers for the different stories, and the stories themselves helped create new tales entirely or added depth to events we’ve already seen.

Great Stories but not too much growth

I thought the stories were well written and each told a unique story. I just didn't see where each one off story grew to whole narrative. I can also listen to Sam Witwer read any story.

A solid anthology of short stories.

This book was a solid set of shorts focusing on the Jedi and Sith of every Star Wars era with some stories being fun, serious, dark, and with some emotional highs. The Anakin and Obi-Wan story was a great highlight seeing an adventure of theirs from a civilian’s perspective. This book is worth getting as an audiobook simply for the Maul and Ventress stories read by their respective voice actors.

Just okay

The performance by Mark Thompson and Sam Witwer were incredible. Unfortunately, aside from 3 or 4 amazing stories, the rest were just plain boring.

Surprised by the end

I started off not really enjoying the first story and didn’t think I’d enjoy it. But by the end of the book, I was all in. I absolutely loved the Barriss storyline and loved Ventress. I don’t think I would have finished if it wasn’t for the Barriss story line and Ventress just made me keep going. This doesn’t factor into my review, but I would have given anything to know more about Ventress as a Jedi in this novel. The narration was great. Side note: enjoyed the first person story more than I thought I would have. Overall, I started out not liking it greatly and ended up loving it.
