About this listen

From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Lauren Blakely comes a new stand-alone romance....

Man seeking woman: Hot, rich, smart, witty, self-made multimillionaire Internet genius seeks classy, intelligent, sexy, fun-loving woman who's interested in settling down and sharing all the good things.

There. Best. Ad. Ever.

I will absolutely find the woman of my dreams, someone who'll love me for me. Even if my sister thinks I need help dating, I'm confident I can pull this off, courtesy of the great World Wide Web.

Let me just hit the "upload" button right now....

No. Just no. As a woman and a professional matchmaker, I can't let Dylan Parker run this ad. He's the catch of all catches. That's why his sister has asked me to help her ridiculously good-looking, insanely rich, but socially clueless brother find a woman. As a broker of happily ever afters, I'm known as the Stud Finder since I make a great living pairing wildly successful women with men who won't fleece them but will adore them. After all, what woman in her right mind wouldn't fall in love with Dylan?

I mean, besides me. It totally won't be me.

I think this is my favorite LB novella!! This one is so sweet! I love a couple who unintentionally fall for each other by not trying to impress each other and just being themselves. These two spend time together but not "together" and as soon as they start to feel the attraction they jump in with both feet. I think my favorite thing about this story was that the drama was non-existent! They actually talk to each other and say what they feel.. YES that is what most books are missing. I love all Lauren Blakely books but this one had a little something different that I really enjoyed!

The narration was good. I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed Jesse Metcalfe, I don't normally enjoy celebrity narration but he was great and hopefully just found another career (haha). Grace Grant is a good narrator but I really think she sounds a lot older than the characters she is narrating.

Matchmaker finds a hot nerdy match!

I loved this sweet and sexy forbidden romance! Evie and Dylan are on the same softball team but are only acquaintances. Dylan's sister and Evie's friend, Olivia, approaches Evie to ask her to help Dylan find his soulmate. Evie's business is mainly a matchmaker for women, but she is up for the challenge, and can't say no. As Evie spends time with Dylan trying to learn what he is like, she begins to have feelings for him. Dylan is surprised by his growing attraction to Evie as well. But Evie will not cross that client line. Ms. Blakely masterfully pulls us into this refreshing story with witty banter, slow burn chemistry, and wonderful characters you'll fall in love with.
Grace Grant is a 'new to me' narrator and she was fabulous. I loved her enthusiasm and her smooth transition between characters. I had heard of Jesse Metcalfe as an actor and wasn't sure how he would do as a voice actor. He was able to make me believe his characters and pull me into this Blakely world.
For a quick listen, Stud Finder has everything that I crave in a love story, making it totally satisfying. I loved the ending as well, it has a wonderful twist you don't want to miss!

Okay - not much depth

A pretty straightforward meet-cute, followed by flirting, dating and sexy times. Appealing characters but the story is kind of shallow. Okay performances by dual narrators.

A fun romance with the perfect narrators

Stud Finder by Lauren Blakely, a 1001 Dark Nights novella was the perfect romcom listen. Narrated by Jesse Metcalfe and Grace Grant I laughed at the quirky, sexy and thoroughly entertaining listen Blakely delivered.

So Evie is a professional matchmaker, and her best friend's brother becomes her client after his debacle attempting to use a fashionable and trendy online service. Dylan Parker is a sexy tech geek who prefers conducting everything online unless its visiting local taco dives.

This was such a fun story that begins with Evie interviewing him several times, some of which include homework, as she prepares his profile to find his match. I loved the subtle chemistry at the beginning that slowly built as the two chatted and moved on to spicy and heated. If you are looking for a totally feel-good contemporary romance with moments of humor, delightful banker and a little snark you'll love Stud Finder.

Jesse Metcalfe was a new to me narrator and one I enjoyed. Grace Grant is established and always enjoyable. Together they made Dylan and Evie come to life and worked perfectly in this dual POV story.

At just under 3 hours, Stud Finder, is the perfect listen to a trip, or while your handling chores on a Saturday. You'll be smiling the whole time.

Horrible narration

Did not enjoy either narrator but the female reader was ingratiating. And when she was reading a male character voice she slowed her speech as if the character had an impediment. Awful

Awwwwwww!!!

That was so sweet! I finished this book with a silly grin on my face. Dylan and Evie were a perfect match for each other, and I had fun reading their non-date dates.
As for the narrators, it was my first time listening to them and I'll be checking out their works.
Also, can I just say that I started this audiobook somewhat expecting a fairytale vibe because of the Prologue was read, and I got a fairytale ending indeed.

Short, steamy and heart-warming.

I feel like Lauren Blakely can do no wrong. Every book she writes I just fall in love with and although this is a novella, so short by design, it is still long enough for me to fall in love. Lauren’s writing is smooth and entertaining, I always find myself chuckling at random moments and with just cause, but, it’s also filled with heart. Only Lauren could manage to throw a surprising twist in the mix at the end that made the listener sit back and say ‘Yes! That makes so much sense.’ Easily, a one sitting audiobook.

This was such a sweet story. I fell in love with Dylan and Evie early on. We all know how I love my sexy geeks and Dylan was definitely a sexy geek! I couldn’t help but fall for him. He also had a really sweet disposition that was very endearing. Evie was feisty but sweet, which I love. The cameos/ mentions from other books was a nice touch and not always obvious, especially if you go through a lot of books in a week. I found myself having a few aha moments.

The relationship between Dylan and Evie was cute to watch unfold, especially as they both tried to fight it. The banter between them was just perfect, it gave the relationship that real feeling to it. You could picture them as a couple from the get-go. The spark they had was sizzling and will make you a little hot under the collar.

The dual narration worked really well. This is the first performance I’ve listened to by both Grace Grant and Jesse Metcalfe, and in honesty, I wasn’t sure whether I was going to enjoy it. Thankfully, it’s a beautiful performance of a lovely book. I liked the tone of Grace’s voice and she really gave life and emotion to Evie. Her male characterisations were fantastic too. The switch between male and female characters was smooth. I know I have other audiobooks waiting in the wings with Grace’s name on and now I’m more excited than ever to listen to them. I’ll be the first to admit I’m not a fan of celebrity narrations, however, Jesse was great, as I was listening I felt he really got a feel for Dylan and gave him a burst of life. The production is smooth and although no major issues, at the end of chapter 13 two small lines repeat.

Jesse Metcalfe & Grace Grant!! Perfect Together!!

This was a quick but oh so enjoyable listen! I swooned over Jesse's voice but of course who doesn't? This duo made this book come alive and made it that much more enjoyable for a listener. Can't wait for them to do another together. I'll be watching! Awesome Job Blakely on the narrators!
